Glass and platinum for high-accuracy lab conductivity.
APERA INSTRUMENTS / 2401-C · 2401T-F / AI1308 / AI1309
Apera’s 2401 series glass-body conductivity electrodes (K=1.0) are designed for high-accuracy laboratory conductivity measurement from 0 to 200 mS/cm. A cavity structure around a platinum chip sensor improves stability and accuracy, and the glass body resists chemical corrosion. The 2401-C has a BNC connector; the 2401T-F adds a built-in temperature sensor with BNC/RCA plugs.

2401-C requires a compatible conductivity BNC input with K=1.0 support. Apera explicitly lists 2401T-F for EC800, EC820, PC800, PC820, EC910, PC910, EC950, PC950, EC9500 and PC9500. Its BNC/RCA connection includes a 30 kΩ thermistor; check the host’s range and settings.
2401T-F fits Apera benchtop meters with BNC and RCA inputs: EC800, PC800, EC820, PC820, EC910, PC910, EC950, PC950, EC9500 and PC9500.
A high-accuracy platinum chip inside a cavity structure for stable readings.
Resists chemical corrosion in the lab.
Reads conductivity and temperature together for automatic temperature compensation.
All versions: range 0 to 200 mS/cm; cell constant K = 1.0; sensor Platinum chip in cavity; body Glass; dimensions Ø12 × 145 mm.
The full specification table, version by version, is in the Product Specifications tab.
Rinse between samples and store the sensor in its cap filled with distilled or deionized water, as the 2401 manuals specify. Do not rub the sensing element. For organic residues use warm detergent water; for calcium or magnesium deposits the manuals specify 10% citric acid. Rinse thoroughly and recalibrate after cleaning.
Apera ships these in: EC950 (2401T-F), EC9500 (2401T-F), EC820 (2401T-F).
Calibrate with 1413 µS/cm standard, or 84 µS/cm and 12.88 mS/cm for low and high ranges.
Choose 2401-C for a compatible conductivity BNC input without a built-in temperature channel. Choose 2401T-F when your compatible meter uses BNC for conductivity and RCA for its 30 kΩ temperature sensor.
Apera's standalone page lists EC800, EC820, PC800, PC820, EC910, PC910, EC950, PC950, EC9500 and PC9500. Check your exact meter's range and settings as well as its connectors.
The 2401 family uses a platinum sensing element within a cavity structure in a glass body. Apera describes this design as improving measurement stability for laboratory conductivity work.
2401-C and 2401T-F are K=1.0 probes with a specified range up to 200 mS/cm. The host meter must support the required range; fitting the probe does not change the meter's limits.
Both 2401 manuals specify a 12 mm diameter, 145 mm body length and a 3 ft cable. Handle the glass body and sensing cavity carefully.
Not by itself. It has no temperature sensor. Use a temperature measurement method supported by your meter, or choose 2401T-F with its built-in thermistor and the appropriate host connection.
The 2401-C and 2401T-F manuals say to store the sensor in its cap filled with distilled or deionized water. Do not substitute pH-electrode KCl storage instructions.
Do not rub the sensor. Rinse between measurements; the manuals specify warm detergent water for organic residues and 10% citric acid for calcium or magnesium deposits. Rinse thoroughly and recalibrate after cleaning.
Check the version and catalog number (AI1308 / AI1309) against your meter, then return to the live price and ordering controls.
APERA INSTRUMENTS, LLC warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for SIX MONTHS from the delivery.
This limited warranty does NOT cover accidental damage, improper use, normal wear and tear, transportation, storage, failure to follow the product instructions, unauthorized maintenance, modification or repair, or external causes beyond Apera's reasonable control.
Exact-model documents are identified below. Regional instruction sheets and host-tester manuals are labelled by scope; use the host manual for meter operation and calibration. Each whole card opens a PDF in a new tab.
