Measure oxidation-reduction potential in general water solutions and wastewater with Apera’s 301Pt combination ORP electrodes. Both models use a platinum ring sensor, a ceramic junction and gel KCl electrolyte that requires no refilling. Choose 301Pt-C for an ORP-capable BNC meter or 301Pt-S for a compatible Apera 400/400S meter.

301Pt-C uses a standard BNC connection to an ORP-capable meter. The 301Pt-S 8-pin version is specified for Apera PH400, PC400, PH400S and PC400S meters. Check the model and measurement mode before ordering.
The platinum ring senses the sample’s oxidation-reduction potential for routine water and wastewater testing.
Ag/AgCl reference with gel KCl electrolyte keeps maintenance simple.
A ceramic junction connects the Ag/AgCl reference system to the sample in both 301Pt models.
Both 301Pt models have a polycarbonate body and platinum ring sensor. Their primary ordering difference is the connector: BNC on 301Pt-C and 8-pin on 301Pt-S.

Keep the sensing tip in the specified KCl storage solution and the connector clean and dry. Rinse between samples with purified water; do not use pure water for long-term storage. Protect the platinum ring from abrasion.
Check performance using the appropriate ORP standard and the procedure in the exact-model manual. ORP verification uses a redox standard rather than pH-buffer calibration.

301Pt-C has a BNC connector; 301Pt-S has an 8-pin connector. Both use a platinum ring sensor, ceramic junction and non-refillable gel KCl reference electrolyte.
Use an ORP-capable meter with a compatible BNC input. A BNC pH input alone does not establish that a meter supports ORP measurement.
Apera lists PH400, PC400, PH400S and PC400S as compatible hosts for the 301Pt-S 8-pin electrode.
Apera specifies general water solutions and wastewater treatment. Choose the electrode and host meter for your sample and required ORP measurement range.
No. Both 301Pt-C and 301Pt-S use gel KCl electrolyte and do not require refilling.
Use an appropriate ORP standard and follow the exact-model electrode and meter instructions. ORP standard checks are different from pH-buffer calibration.
Keep the sensing tip in its specified KCl storage solution with the cap closed. Keep the connector dry, and do not use pure water as long-term storage solution.
Apera provides a six-month limited warranty from delivery against defects in material and workmanship. Exclusions and support information are in Additional Information.

APERA INSTRUMENTS, LLC warrants 301Pt-C and 301Pt-S electrodes to be free from defects in material and workmanship for SIX MONTHS from the delivery.
This limited warranty does NOT cover accidental damage, improper use, normal wear and tear, transportation, storage, failure to follow the product instructions, unauthorized maintenance, modification or repair, or external causes beyond Apera's reasonable control.
