You are ready to measure.

Step What to do
1. Rinse Rinse the ORP electrode with distilled or deionized water.
2. Immerse Place the electrode tip in a fresh portion of the 222 mV standard.
3. Compare The reading should be within ±10 mV of the value on the bottle at your temperature.
4. If not Soak the electrode in the solution for 15–30 minutes and check again; clean the electrode if it is still out.

What if the reading is outside ±10 mV?

Soak the electrode in the standard for 15–30 minutes and recheck. If it is still out, clean the electrode and check again.
