APERA INSTRUMENTS / ELECTRODE CLEANING SOLUTION / AI1166
Apera’s electrode cleaning solution removes tough contamination from pH and conductivity electrodes: grease, dairy deposits, beverage stains and other complex or sticky residues that rinsing with water leaves behind.
After cleaning, the sensitivity of the pH glass membrane can be restored to a degree, which Apera says gives faster response and higher accuracy. It comes in an 8 oz bottle (AI1166).
Store, clean, refill and check your electrodes. Most pH and ORP electrodes store in 3M KCl; Protelyte and LiCl are for the specific electrodes named on their cards.
AI1107 / AI1106
Store pH and ORP electrodes
Keeps the glass hydrated so readings stay fast and accurate.
AI1166
Remove grease and deposits
For grease, dairy deposits, beverage stains and sticky residues.
AI1190
LabSen 821/823, 753/763
Storage and refill for Protelyte-electrolyte LabSen electrodes.
AI1172
Non-aqueous pH electrodes
Reference refill for electrodes used in organic solvents.
AI1141
Check ORP electrodes
Reading should fall within ±10 mV of the bottle value.
AI1170
Calibrate, clean, store
Buffers, KCl, cleaning solution and brush in one box.
AI2910
Holds 4 solutions
Lidded cups and a center electrode hole; reuse solutions between calibrations.
Clean when response slows, readings drift, calibration slope drops, or the glass or junction is visibly coated.
Routine rinsing with distilled or deionized water between samples reduces how often a deep clean is needed.
The AI1170 probe care kit pairs this cleaning solution with buffers, 3M KCl, a brush and the CalPod.
After cleaning, re-soak pH electrodes in 3M KCl storage solution and recalibrate with fresh pH 7.00 buffer.
Grease, dairy deposits, beverage stains and other complex or sticky contaminants on pH and conductivity electrodes.
30 minutes to 2 hours, then rinse with distilled or deionized water.
Yes. Soak pH and ISE electrodes in storage solution for at least 2 hours, then calibrate. Conductivity electrodes can go straight to calibration.
Yes. Apera lists it for both pH and conductivity electrodes.
Check the catalog number (AI1166) against your meter, electrode and calibration routine, then return to the live price and ordering controls.
Use within the expiration date on the bottle.
Store at room temperature with the cap tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
Apera prints the expiration date on each bottle. A safety data sheet is available from Apera on request; contact Blue Tiger Scientific with your order number and lot.
