APERA INSTRUMENTS / PCO60-Z / AI3803
Bring pH, conductivity and ORP work into one carrying case without pretending they share a single sensing tip. PCO60-Z supplies a PC60-Z meter with the PC60-DE pH/EC/temperature combo head and a separate ORP60-DA platinum ORP head for a physical sensor change.
Choose this configuration for the included ORP head. TDS, salinity and resistivity derive from the combo head’s conductivity measurement. ORP is measured separately with ORP60-DA, not simultaneously through the pH/EC head.
Each card opens that kit page, not an upgrade for the current meter. Match the supplied head and supported measurements. Phones and additional probes are not included unless the exact kit contents say so.

AI3803
Combo plus separate ORP head
PC60-Z meter with PC60-DE and separate ORP60-DA.
PC60-DE combines a blue glass pH sensor with a double-junction reference, platinum-black conductivity rods and temperature sensing. It is the head for pH, EC and the EC-derived displays. Calibrate pH and conductivity separately rather than assuming one calibration covers every direct measurement.
ORP60-DA provides a platinum sensing element and ceramic reference junctions. Install it in place of PC60-DE for ORP; the meter automatically enters ORP mode. Do not assume the separate ORP head contains the combo head’s temperature sensor or provides temperature-compensated ORP.
The instrument inside this kit is PC60-Z. The added ORP60-DA changes the supplied capability, not the basic pH or EC accuracy. On-meter measurement and calibration remain available without a phone, while compatible phone-connected functions provide a separate app workflow.
Use pH and conductivity to characterize compatible water samples, then change heads for an ORP observation. ORP can support a defined process method, but it is not a direct disinfectant concentration, pathogen measurement or stand-alone proof of safe water.
Follow acidity and overall ionic strength with the combo head. TDS is calculated using a selectable factor, not a chemical inventory. The 10.00 ppt salinity ceiling excludes direct normal-seawater salinity testing even though the kit offers several display modes.
Show how different sensing elements answer different questions. Keep the head identity, units, calibration and sample treatment with each result. Results still depend on careful preparation.
Begin combo-head preparation with fresh standards. Start USA-series pH calibration at 7.00, then add suitable points without powering off. Supplied pH buffers are 4.00 and 7.00. For EC, begin with 1413 µS/cm and use 12.88 mS/cm for work above 2 mS/cm or when a check requires it. The recognized 84 µS/cm standard is separate.
Remove the cap, rinse and fully immerse the sensing area. Stir briefly to clear bubbles, then wait for stability. Keep original sample portions separate from any aliquot altered for pH stabilization. EC defaults to a 25 °C reference and 2.00%/°C compensation; the TDS factor defaults to 0.71 and adjusts from 0.40 to 1.00.
For ORP, follow the manual’s head-change procedure and replace PC60-DE with ORP60-DA. Keep the connector clean and dry, rinse the sensing end, stir gently in the sample and wait for the stable icon. Record the ORP result separately. A 222 mV reference solution is not included, and no unsupported on-meter ORP calibration routine is promised.
For regular PC60-DE storage, maintain humidity with a few water droplets inside a tightly closed cap. Do not immerse the combo head in water for storage. Tap, RO, distilled and deionized water are not storage liquids for this probe; distilled or deionized water is appropriate for rinsing sample residue away.
For a dried or slow combo probe, external conditioning in 3M KCl for about two hours is specified. Never exceed 24 hours, because the conductivity sensor can be damaged. After more than a month unused, follow the manual’s 15-minute KCl preparation and recalibration instructions. The KCl bottle is not a user-refill instruction.
Handle the separate ORP head as its own electrode. Rinse after use and follow its accessory instructions for cleaning and conditioning; do not assume the combo probe’s complete storage method applies unchanged. Protect sensing surfaces and connectors. Replace a worn or damaged head with the exact compatible model.
Use the physical controls for standalone measurement and calibration. The stable-reading indicator and HOLD help you read a result; a held display is not an onboard measurement-history logger for later upload.
Keep the connectors and battery compartment dry when changing parts. Follow the exact manual for key sequences, battery orientation and cap sealing. Screen values in photographs are illustrative, not test results or a promise of compatibility with another sensing head.
The tester measures and calibrates without a phone. Connect a compatible smartphone inside ZenTest, rather than treating operating-system PIN pairing as the measurement workflow. Bluetooth, required phone permissions and a nearby powered tester are needed for new connected readings. A smartphone is not included.
ZenTest offers Simple, Dial, Graph and Table views, with manual and timed recording, measurement/calibration records, and tools for notes, photos and location tagging. Available parameters still depend on the exact body and fitted head. Display choices cannot add pH or conductivity to an unsupported model.
Account and cloud functions depend on the compatible app, service and internet connection. Reviewing already saved records while disconnected is not continuous measurement acquisition outside Bluetooth range. Keep an independent copy of important records and check the current app listing for device compatibility before purchase.
Publisher documentation describes data sharing/export, and Apple release history identifies CSV. Native Excel or PDF reports, exact current logging intervals, and identical export behavior on both operating systems are not promised. Neither the meter nor this app overview establishes an immutable audit trail, regulatory compliance, guaranteed background alarms or offsite safety monitoring. Check your recordkeeping procedure before relying on connected data.
Alternative format: Apera PC60 pH/EC/TDS/Salinity Tester Kit (AI316). Compare the exact standalone kit when Bluetooth-connected recordkeeping is not needed. A related family name does not establish the same probe upgrades or app support.
No. It is a PC60-Z meter with two supplied heads: PC60-DE for pH/EC/temperature and ORP60-DA for ORP. The heads are physically exchanged, so pH, EC and ORP are not acquired simultaneously from one tip.
It includes the separate ORP60-DA head. Standard PC60-Z supplies the combo head but sells ORP60-DA separately. The pH accuracy specification is unchanged.
Do not treat those names as interchangeable. ORP60-DE belongs to the dedicated ORP60-Z tester. The head specified for this PC60-Z-based combo configuration is ORP60-DA.
No inclusion is promised. The supplied solutions are pH 4.00 and 7.00, EC 1413 µS/cm and 12.88 mS/cm, and 3M KCl. Purchase an appropriate ORP reference separately when your procedure requires one.
Check conversion factor, units and compensation. At 1000 µS/cm, factor 0.71 reports 710 ppm while factor 0.50 reports 500 ppm. Calibrate conductivity rather than looking for a separate TDS calibration.
Not directly. ORP is a redox-potential reading affected by the sample chemistry and method. Use the appropriate chemical test when a disinfectant concentration or compliance result is required.
Yes. The meter provides standalone measurement and calibration controls. A compatible phone is for connected app functions and is not included. Saved measurement histories are not an internal meter-logger feature.
The tester uses four AAA batteries. The manufacturer’s formal warranty is two years for the instrument and six months for the probes from delivery, subject to its terms, normal-wear limitations and other exclusions.
