APERA INSTRUMENTS / PC60-DE / AI3719-E
Renew a compatible PC60-Z, PC60 or PCO60-Z with the PC60-DE combination probe. Its double-junction pH sensor, blue glass bulb and Brush-Resistant Platinum Black conductivity sensor support testing of regular water solutions, with additional EC-derived readings determined by the host meter.
CURRENT PROBE: PC60-DE
These are selected compatible tester bodies, not items included with this replacement probe. See the complete compatibility table below.
Combination pH/conductivity replacement
A single replacement module brings together pH, conductivity and temperature measurement for a compatible tester.
The exact probe listing identifies a double-junction pH design suited to dirty and complex aqueous samples.
The distinctive blue glass bulb is the pH-sensing element; protect it from impact and follow pH-specific care.
Brush-Resistant Platinum Black sensing supports conductivity testing. TDS, salinity and resistivity are derived by the host where those modes are available.
Compatibility applies to the named tester body and stated sensing role. A shared connector or a similar probe name does not make every 60-series sensor interchangeable. Tester display, connectivity, app and data functions belong to the compatible tester, not this replacement probe.
Remove the cap, unscrew the ring and unplug the old probe. Align and insert the PC60-DE and tighten the ring. The PC60-Z manual calls for 5–15 minutes of conditioning in 3M KCl after replacement, followed by calibration before testing.
Calibrate pH and conductivity separately using the correct standards and your host tester’s instructions. Conductivity-derived modes do not turn this into an ORP probe.
Rinse before and after each sample, immerse the sensing end, gently move it to release trapped bubbles, then allow readings to stabilize. Keep the fragile glass bulb protected from knocks.
Use a compatible tester to measure pH and conductivity without changing between separate pH and EC probes.
The double-junction pH design is intended for these samples; thorough cleaning remains essential after testing.
For regular storage, the PC60-Z manual specifies a few water droplets in the closed cap to maintain humidity; not immersion in water. Never store the combination probe submerged in tap, RO, distilled or deionized water, which can damage its pH element.
If the probe dries out or becomes unusually slow, the manual recommends about 2 hours in 3M KCl to recover sensitivity. Never leave this combination probe in 3M KCl for longer than 24 hours, because prolonged exposure may damage its conductivity sensor. KCl is an external soaking solution, not an electrolyte-refill instruction.
For persistent contamination, remove the sensor shield as directed, soak in Apera probe cleaning solution or detergent water for 30 minutes, gently remove residue with a soft brush, then soak in 3M KCl for at least 1 hour. Rinse and recalibrate before reuse, respecting the 24-hour KCl limit.
PC60-Z, PC60 and PCO60-Z are specifically documented. Do not assume compatibility with every 60-series body.
No. Its sensors are for pH, conductivity and temperature. ORP on compatible ZenTest multiparameter bodies requires ORP60-DA.
They are readings derived from conductivity by the host meter where supported. Mode availability, range and conversion settings depend on that meter.
It describes the pH electrode’s junction structure; the probe also contains a separate platinum-black conductivity sensor.
Yes. Follow the host instructions for conditioning, pH calibration and conductivity calibration before testing.
No. The PC60-Z manual explicitly limits KCl soaking to less than or equal to 24 hours to protect the conductivity sensor; about 2 hours is suggested for recovery from drying.
No. It is the replacement probe module. A compatible tester and the appropriate standards are required.
Six-month limited electrode warranty from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship attributable to Apera. Excludes accidental damage, improper use, normal wear, transportation or storage issues, failure to follow instructions, unauthorized repair or modification, and external causes.
Apera Manufacturer Limited Electrode Warranty
Six months from delivery for qualifying defects in materials and workmanship attributable to Apera, subject to its stated terms. The parent tester warranty does not extend this probe coverage.
Exclusions include accidental damage, improper use, normal wear, transportation or storage issues, failure to follow instructions, unauthorized repair or modification, and external causes. Follow the exact probe and compatible tester instructions for installation, calibration and care.
Each card opens a verified official PDF. Parent-tester manuals cover the stated body and its procedures; they are not standalone specifications for this probe. Regional documents are identified, and warranty or compatibility wording can differ from US documentation. Use this listing’s specific compatibility notes.
