A micro-sample kit with a defined container and temperature workflow.
APERA INSTRUMENTS / PH700-MS / AI5017
PH700-MS pairs a benchtop meter with the slender LabSen 241-3SP electrode for precious aqueous and protein-containing samples. Its supplied micro-container makes testing down to 15 µL possible only when liquid contacts both the glass sensing tip and white reference junction.
For laboratories conserving small aqueous aliquots with a defined micro-volume method.
Each card opens that product page. Different kits supply different probes and care methods. The 201T-F card is an electrode-only base-kit replacement, not an extra specialty electrode supplied with these kits.
AI501
General-water base kit
201T-F BNC/RCA probe; different from the specialty configurations.
AI5018
Protein / TRIS / biotech
LabSen 823; Protelyte refill and storage.
AI5012
Dirty liquids / suspensions
LabSen 333; nonrefillable polymer and KCl storage.
AI5015
Pure / low-ionic water
LabSen 803; movable sleeve and defined pure-water method.
AI5016

LabSen 241-3SP; micro-container and manual-temperature method.
AI1302
REPLACEMENT ELECTRODE ONLY
Compatible base PH700 sensor; not a complete meter kit.
The cylindrical glass sensing end is protected by a 4 mm stainless-steel shaft. Position it carefully in the micro-container rather than pressing the delicate tip against the bottom.
The refillable Protelyte reference helps resist protein-related junction clogging. Check compatibility for each sample chemistry.
The LabSen 241-3SP has no integrated temperature sensor. Use an external thermometer and manual temperature entry; no ATC probe is listed as supplied.
Small aqueous aliquots where conserving liquid matters more than accommodating a conventional full-size probe.
Protein-containing solutions and serum samples needing a slim electrode with an appropriate reference electrolyte.
Microbiological bench work using the supplied micro-container, or another vessel with sufficient liquid to cover both sensing surfaces.
Connect the BNC plug, remove the storage bottle, rinse the electrode and open its blue filling vent. Calibrate with fresh, appropriate buffers; use at least two points after installing a new electrode.
Measure sample temperature with an external thermometer. In measurement mode, use the PH700 up/down keys to enter that temperature for manual compensation. Keep buffers and samples close in temperature when practical. The separately sold MP500 enables compatible temperature sensing, but its use inside the same tiny well is not established.
Place the sample in the supplied micro-container and lower the probe gently. Even at the conditional 15 µL minimum, liquid must immerse the white junction as well as contact the glass sensing tip. Wait for a stable reading. An arbitrary vial, plate well or drop touching only the tip does not meet this method.
Rinse before and after each measurement to limit carryover between small samples. Avoid rubbing the glass or striking the vessel. Keep the BNC connector clean and dry.
Check the reference liquid level. When it falls below half-height, add Protelyte through the filling opening using a suitable syringe or pipette. Leave the vent open during calibration and measurement; close it for storage. Calibration buffers are not reference refills.
Return the clean tip to its storage bottle with Protelyte, replacing contaminated liquid. Do not substitute the routine 3M KCl instructions for other electrodes or store this probe in pure water. Avoid strong acids, strong alkalis and dehydrating media; choose another electrode for incompatible chemistry.
PH700 supports 1-3 pH calibration points and 50 manually saved sets shared across pH/mV. The instrument display range is 0-14.00 pH with selectable 0.01/0.1 pH resolution and stated ±0.01 pH ±1 digit accuracy; these do not establish unrestricted probe/matrix accuracy.
M+ saves a stable result and RM recalls it. No documented USB/PC export, automatic interval recording, date/time field or certified audit trail is promised. Optional ORP needs a separate appropriate ORP electrode; the supplied pH electrode in mV mode gives its pH signal, not ORP.
This manufacturer electronics illustration refers to the PH700 instrument. Appropriate electrode selection, calibration and sample handling still govern the result. It does not establish extra logging/export features or a separately tested performance guarantee.
Not as a free-standing drop. The minimum depends on the supplied micro-container and immersion of the white reference junction plus glass sensing tip.
Not with the supplied LabSen 241-3SP alone. It is pH-only. Use an external thermometer and manual entry; MP500 is an optional separate purchase.
Check geometry and liquid coverage. Ordinary small vessels can require more sample; the 15 µL claim does not transfer automatically to your vial or microplate.
It is designed for micro-volume protein-containing aqueous samples. Protelyte helps address protein junction clogging, but chemical compatibility still needs checking.
Use Protelyte AI1190 for both regular refill and storage. Do not copy the 3M KCl routine for the 201T-F.
Manufacturer documents disagree. This listing conservatively uses pH 0 to 13; a wider meter range or alternate probe table does not establish sample suitability.
No thermometer, separate ATC probe or extra Protelyte bottle is established in the kit contents. Plan those separately if your workflow needs them.
Do not assume suitability. Strong acids, alkalis, dehydrating solvents and very low-ion samples need application-specific electrode selection.
