ILP 384-Well Plates
ILP, now part of MTC Bio, makes the PC05-384R plates for high-throughput PCR and qPCR. They have slightly larger 40 µL wells, a full skirt, and two corner notches for orientation.
Choose natural for endpoint work or white for real-time detection. They are made of ultra-clear, virgin, medical-grade polypropylene and are certified free of RNase, DNase, and pyrogens.

Tip for 384-Well Work
Small wells are unforgiving: centrifuge the plate briefly after loading to pull every drop to the bottom, and seal with an optically clear sealing film for qPCR. Frequently Asked Questions
Are these a good alternative to Applied Biosystems™ MicroAmp™ or Roche LightCycler® 384-well plates?
Yes, for most applications. P9384-C is an ABI-type, one-notch plate, and P9384-W is a Roche-type, two-notch white plate. Confirm the notch layout your instrument needs before ordering. What is the difference between ABI type and Roche type?
They differ in corner notches and color. The ABI-type P9384-C has one notch at A24 and clear wells. The Roche-type P9384-W has two notches at A24 and P24 and white wells.
What volume do the wells hold?
PureAmp™ 384-well plates have 30 µL wells, and ILP PC05-384R plates have 40 µL wells.
Why choose a white plate?
White wells reflect fluorescence toward the detector for stronger real-time signal. Natural or clear plates are standard for endpoint PCR.
