The everyday PC-body pH electrode.
APERA INSTRUMENTS / 201-C · 201DJ-C · 201T-S / AI1301 / AI3115 / AI1312
Apera’s 201 series are economical polycarbonate-body pH electrodes for general pH measurement of water solutions in research, environmental monitoring and quality control. All three use Apera’s low-impedance lithium glass membrane and gel KCl electrolyte, so there is nothing to refill. The 201-C is a BNC combination electrode; the 201DJ-C adds a double junction for long-term testing in turbid water; the 201T-S is a 3-in-1 pH/temperature electrode with an 8-pin connector for Apera portable meters.
Choose the version from the menu above. Apera’s warranty: six months from delivery.
Pick the measurement, then the connector your meter uses (BNC, BNC/RCA with temperature, or 8-pin) on that page. For application-specific pH electrodes, see the LabSen range.

201-C and 201DJ-C fit pH meters with a BNC input. They have no built-in temperature sensor: use a separate sensor specifically supported by your meter or manual temperature entry. Apera explicitly lists PH400, PC400, PH400S and PC400S for the 8-pin 201T-S.
Apera’s proprietary low-impedance lithium glass for fast, stable readings in general water solutions.
A sealed gel reference keeps maintenance to rinsing and storage. A detachable cap keeps the sensor hydrated.
Reduces junction clogs and extends service life for long-term testing in wastewater, pools, hydroponics and environmental monitoring.
All three use Ag/AgCl references, gel KCl electrolyte and polycarbonate bodies measuring Ø12 × 160 mm. For all three models, the conservative current-US published measurement envelope is 0–13 pH and 0–60°C (32–140°F). The linked exact-model manuals publish broader 0–14 pH and 0–80°C limits; this listing uses only the narrower bounds supported by both sources, not a claim that every sample in that range is suitable. Broader limits depend on the supplied revision and are not offered here. Do not use for strong acids or bases, highly corrosive liquids, or prolonged/continuous hot-sample testing; retain the model-specific polycarbonate-body and connector precautions. The model-specific connector, temperature sensor and cable details are in the Product Specifications tab.
The full specification table, version by version, is in the Product Specifications tab.
Keep the sensor wet in its cap with a little 3M KCl storage solution between uses, and never store it in pure, deionized or distilled water.
Rinse with distilled or deionized water between samples. For oily or sticky deposits, use Apera electrode cleaning solution, then re-soak and recalibrate.
Apera does not recommend these electrodes for low-ion solutions such as DI or distilled water, strong acids and strong bases (pH above 12), highly corrosive liquids, and continuous testing in high-temperature solutions.
For a BNC/RCA pH/temperature configuration, use the separately listed 201T-F (AI1302), not the 8-pin 201T-S. Confirm the exact host meter before ordering.
For the BNC/RCA pH/temperature version used in the PH700, PH850 and PH8500 kits, see the 201T-F pH/temperature electrode (AI1302).
201-C and 201DJ-C use BNC connectors. The 201T-S uses an 8-pin connector instead; it is not a BNC substitute.
201DJ-C has a double junction designed to reduce clogging in turbid water, including wastewater and pool water. The 201-C has a single ceramic junction for general aqueous samples.
No. Neither 201-C nor 201DJ-C contains a temperature sensor. Use a separate temperature probe supported by your meter, or enter temperature manually if your meter allows it.
Apera lists PH400, PC400, PH400S and PC400S for the 201T-S. Its 8-pin plug carries pH and the signal from its 30 kΩ thermistor; connector appearance alone does not establish compatibility with other meters.
The 201-C, 201DJ-C and 201T-S manuals specify a 12 mm diameter, 160 mm body length and 3 ft cable.
These are general-water electrodes, not the first choice for low-ionic-strength DI or distilled water, strong acids or bases, or chemicals that attack polycarbonate. Choose an application-specific electrode for those samples.
No. The 201-C, 201DJ-C and 201T-S use gel KCl reference electrolyte. Keep the sensing end in the specified KCl storage solution between uses; do not store it in pure water.
Keep the connector clean and dry, rinse the sensing end, and perform the three-point pH calibration specified in the electrode manual before relying on measurements.
Check the version and catalog number (AI1301 / AI3115 / AI1312) against your meter, then return to the live price and ordering controls.
