When your samples are in organic solvent, ordinary polypropylene can leach plasticizers and other extractables into them. These ILP plates carry a thin quartz-glass (SiO2) coating inside every well, so samples touch a glass-like surface while the plate keeps the light weight, toughness, and SBS footprint of plastic.
Choose your plate format in the menu: shallow or deep 96-well round, 96-well square, or 384-well square. Every plate matches the dimensions of a standard ILP plate, so it drops into the same autosamplers, racks, and liquid handlers.

Low Extractables
The glass layer cuts leachables that can show up as background peaks in LC-MS and GC runs.
No Glass Inserts
Skip vial inserts: load samples straight into the plate for high-density storage and injection.
Reduced Oxygen Transmission
The coating slows oxygen transfer through the plate for more stable samples.
Thermally Stable
Chemically and thermally stable from −80 °C to 80 °C.
Autosampler Ready
Standard SBS footprint for common autosamplers, stackers, and robots.
Familiar Formats
Same well shapes and heights as our uncoated ILP plates.
Match the plate to the height and well format your autosampler or method calls for.
Shallow 96 Round
Volumes: 300–500 µL
Height: 14.4–14.75 mm
Best for: Autosampler injection and small sample sets
Deep 96 Round
Volumes: 1.0–2.0 mL
Height: 31.5–45.3 mm
Best for: Extractions, dilutions, and larger volumes
Deep 96 Square
Volumes: 2.0 or 2.2 mL
Height: 41.2–41.6 mm
Best for: Maximum volume and mixing
384 Square
Volumes: 120 or 190 µL
Height: 14.4 or 24.9 mm
Best for: High-density compound and sample storage

Plastic extractables are a common source of ghost peaks and ion suppression in mass spectrometry. A glass-coated plate keeps solvent-based samples off bare polypropylene, without the cost and handling of glass vials.
Use them for sample prep, injection, and storage in methods where standard plates add background.

Each glass-coated plate is the coated version of a standard ILP plate. If you already run the uncoated plate, the coated one uses the same deck positions, and the same sealing mats should fit.
Uncoated versions: 96-well 0.3–0.5 mL storage plates, 96-well 1 mL deep-well plates, 96-well 2 mL deep-well plates, and 384-well deep-well plates.
Pair a glass-coated plate with a seal that suits your solvent. Our PTFE-coated silicone sealing mats add a chemically resistant, pierceable barrier for autosampler injection.
Yes, for most applications. They are polypropylene plates with an SiO2 glass well coating in 96- and 384-well formats, U- and V-bottom, with a standard SBS footprint. A thin layer of silicon dioxide (quartz glass) on the well surfaces. It gives the wells properties similar to glass while the plate body stays polypropylene.
The coating reduces extractables and leachables and slows oxygen transmission, which matters for solvent-based samples and sensitive LC-MS or GC-MS work.
They are chemically and thermally stable from −80 °C to 80 °C.
10 plates per pack.
The plates match the uncoated ILP formats, so mats that fit the uncoated plate should fit the coated one. See our silicone sealing mats.
