APERA INSTRUMENTS / AI1350
MP500 is a stainless steel temperature probe with an RCA connector and a 30 kΩ NTC thermistor. Use it with a supported Apera meter when a separate temperature input is needed alongside a pH or conductivity electrode.
MP500 provides temperature sensing for a compatible meter’s automatic temperature compensation workflow. It does not measure pH or conductivity by itself.
PH700, PH800 and PC800 are manufacturer-listed examples with documented RCA temperature inputs. Do not assume direct compatibility with an 8-pin-only meter or every RCA-equipped instrument.
The probe element is rated from -10 to 110°C (14 to 230°F). The meter, analytical electrode and measurement mode can impose narrower limits.

Related workflow
A supported host example; select the exact electrode and temperature configuration.
A separate MP500 can supply the temperature input in a documented pairing. Apera’s PH700 and PH800 references identify selected LabSen electrodes that require a separate MP500.
Use alongside a conductivity electrode only when the host supports this separate temperature input. Compensation settings and data functions belong to the meter, not to MP500.
Before ordering, confirm the complete meter model, analytical electrode and required temperature range. A matching RCA connector is not sufficient on its own.
Follow the exact host and electrode instructions for setup, calibration and care. The probe’s rating does not override narrower system limits or establish chemical compatibility with every sample.

MP500 senses temperature. A compatible meter uses that input for temperature display and supported automatic temperature compensation. It is not a standalone thermometer with its own display.
PH700, PH800 and PC800 are manufacturer-listed examples whose host manuals document RCA temperature inputs. Confirm your exact model and electrode configuration rather than assuming every Apera meter is compatible.
No. MP500 has an RCA connector, not an 8-pin plug. Any adapted setup must be separately confirmed for the host and pH electrode; connector appearance alone does not prove compatibility.
No. It supplies the separate temperature signal. A suitable analytical electrode is still required to measure pH or conductivity.
Not necessarily. That is the MP500 probe-element rating, not a guarantee for the meter, analytical electrode or ATC range. Use the limits of the complete documented system.
No. -25°C is below the MP500 probe’s -10°C lower rating. A LabSen 881 recommendation does not extend MP500 or the host meter to that endpoint.
The PH700 and 800-series manuals identify the RCA temperature input as TEMP. Follow the instructions for your exact host and keep electrical connectors clean and dry. Do not confuse this with the BNC pH or conductivity input.
Yes. Adding a temperature probe does not replace the host’s pH or conductivity calibration procedure. Prepare and calibrate the analytical electrode as its instructions require.
Each whole card opens the complete official PDF. Parent-meter and regional documents are labelled by scope; do not transfer a host’s specifications or warranty to a separately supplied accessory.
Complete Apera Instruments Europe MP500 document with probe material, range, dimensions and connector. Regional terms are not a separate warranty promise for this listing.
Complete official parent-meter manual. Covers the TEMP input, host operation and calibration; not an MP500-only specification sheet.
Complete official PH800, EC800 and PC800 host-family manual. Includes the RCA TEMP input and selected PH800 electrode pairings requiring MP500.
