APERA INSTRUMENTS / EC60-DE / AI3718-E
The EC60-DE combines Apera’s Brush-Resistant Platinum Black conductivity sensor with a built-in temperature sensor. Use it with a specifically compatible tester for general water solutions; available TDS, salinity and resistivity readings depend on the host instrument.
CURRENT PROBE: EC60-DE
These are selected compatible tester bodies, not items included with this replacement probe. See the complete compatibility table below.
Conductivity replacement probe
Apera’s Brush-Resistant Platinum Black sensor is designed for conductivity measurement in general water solutions.
Temperature sensing is integrated into the replacement probe.
Documented compatibility covers EC60-Z, PC60-Z, EC60, PC60 and PCO60-Z; this is not a claim of universal 60-series fit.
A compatible meter can derive TDS, salinity and resistivity from conductivity. Available modes and conversion settings belong to the meter, not separate sensors in this probe.
Compatibility applies to the named tester body and stated sensing role. A shared connector or a similar probe name does not make every 60-series sensor interchangeable. Tester display, connectivity, app and data functions belong to the compatible tester, not this replacement probe.
Remove the cap, unscrew the probe ring and unplug the old probe. Align and insert the EC60-DE, then retighten the ring. The European EC60-DE probe instructions call for at least a two-point calibration after replacement and before measurement.
Follow the conductivity calibration procedure for your host tester using fresh, suitable conductivity standards. TDS, salinity and resistivity are EC-derived meter readings, so follow conductivity calibration rather than pH calibration.
Rinse with distilled or deionized water, remove excess water, immerse the sensor, briefly move it to release bubbles and wait for a stable reading. Select only the measurement modes supported by your tester.
Measure electrical conductivity in regular water solutions with a compatible Apera tester.
Fit an EC60-DE when you need conductivity testing rather than pH measurement; the host determines additional EC-derived modes.
Rinse the conductivity sensor with distilled or deionized water after every measurement. If the black sensing rods are dirty, the EC60-Z manual permits gentle cleaning with a soft brush in warm water containing detergent. Avoid aggressive scraping of the coating.
After a long period without use, the EC60-Z manual recommends conditioning the conductivity electrode in 12.88 mS/cm standard for 5–10 minutes or in tap water for 1–2 hours before use. This is conductivity-specific conditioning, not a pH-electrode KCl-storage rule.
Keep the protective cap in place between uses and follow the host manual’s conductivity-probe instructions. Do not apply pH-probe storage or electrolyte-refill procedures to this EC-only sensor.
EC60-Z, PC60-Z, EC60, PC60 and PCO60-Z. Compatibility does not imply that every body offers the same measurement modes.
No. It is a conductivity and temperature probe, even when fitted to a compatible multiparameter body.
Yes. The exact product listing specifies one, and the European EC60-DE manual identifies a 30 kΩ thermistor.
No. The compatible meter derives these readings from conductivity; mode availability and conversion settings depend on the host.
Yes. The European EC60-DE probe instructions call for at least two-point calibration after installation and before measuring.
The EC60-Z manual permits gentle cleaning of stained rods using a soft brush and warm detergent water. Do not scrape or aggressively abrade the coating.
This is a replacement-probe listing, not a complete meter kit. A compatible tester and suitable calibration standards are required.
Six-month limited electrode warranty from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship attributable to Apera. Excludes accidental damage, improper use, normal wear, transportation or storage issues, failure to follow instructions, unauthorized repair or modification, and external causes.
Apera Manufacturer Limited Electrode Warranty
Six months from delivery for qualifying defects in materials and workmanship attributable to Apera, subject to its stated terms. The parent tester warranty does not extend this probe coverage.
Exclusions include accidental damage, improper use, normal wear, transportation or storage issues, failure to follow instructions, unauthorized repair or modification, and external causes. Follow the exact probe and compatible tester instructions for installation, calibration and care.
Each card opens a verified official PDF. Parent-tester manuals cover the stated body and its procedures; they are not standalone specifications for this probe. Regional documents are identified, and warranty or compatibility wording can differ from US documentation. Use this listing’s specific compatibility notes.
