APERA / PR60F / AI317
Check water quality and suitable flat surfaces with one pocket-sized tester. The PR60F brings simultaneous pH and ORP measurements, temperature readings and a replaceable flat-surface probe into a portable calibration kit.
pH and ORP shown together, with temperature.
Glass pH and platinum ORP sensing surfaces.
Renew the sensing assembly with PR60F-DE.
Current kit. Simultaneous dual-channel readings and a combined flat sensing assembly.
Alternative format: PH60F flat-surface pH tester for a pH-focused workflow.
Alternative format: ORP60 pocket ORP tester when ORP is the measurement you need.
Choose one to three automatic pH calibration points using USA or NIST buffers. The kit supplies pH 4.00, 7.00 and 10.01 buffers, plus a 222 mV ORP standard for the separate one-point ORP calibration.
The dual-channel system measures pH and ORP at the same time, with temperature alongside them on the LCD. In GeneralRead mode, you can watch both live values and use the stability indicators to judge when to record a result.
StableRead shows dashes while each measurement settles, then holds its stabilized value. The pH and ORP results can appear at different times. A short press restarts the check when you want to confirm a result.
Flat glass pH and platinum ORP sensors support general water samples and suitable surface checks. For dry paper, fabric and similar surfaces, add a few drops of distilled or deionized water before bringing the probe into contact.
A double-junction reference system helps resist sample contamination. When the sensing assembly eventually wears out, the PR60F-DE replacement probe lets you renew the probe rather than replace the entire tester. Recalibrate after fitting a new probe.
The carrying case keeps the tester, calibration solutions and vials together. The IP67-rated body, low-battery warning and two-color backlight make routine checks practical, while correct cap and seal closure help maintain water protection.
The supplied standards and vials cover pH and ORP setup, with 3M KCl solution for probe storage between uses.
Prepare the sample and probe as directed in the manual. This is not a promise of suitability for every chemical, surface or temperature.
Rinse with distilled or deionized water before and after testing, then store the probe with 3M KCl solution in the securely closed cap. Pure water is for rinsing; not long-term storage. Calibrate close to your sample temperature, and avoid sample solutions below 5°C or above 45°C where practical to reduce error and probe wear.

Yes. The PR60F measures pH and ORP simultaneously and shows both values with temperature on the same display. GeneralRead gives you live readings; StableRead holds each result once it has settled. The two stabilized results may appear at different times.
It removes the need to choose a result from constantly changing digits. The display waits with dashes, then presents a stabilized pH or ORP value. The manual gives a typical wait of 20 to 60 seconds, depending on the sample and temperature change; not a guaranteed test time. If stabilization takes longer than three minutes, the tester returns to GeneralRead.
Yes. The flat glass pH and platinum ORP sensors support water samples and suitable flat surfaces. For dry paper or fabric, moisten the test area with a few drops of distilled or deionized water as directed in the manual. Follow the stated preparation method; this does not establish suitability for every surface or chemical.
The manual recommends at least two pH calibration points before use. With the supplied USA buffers, start at pH 7.00, then use pH 4.00 and, when needed, pH 10.01. Complete the sequence without switching the tester off. The instrument supports one to three automatic points and can also use the NIST series through its settings.
No. The included standard is 222 mV at 25°C, but its reference value changes with temperature; for example, it is 227 mV at 20°C. Use the table on the solution label or in the manual when adjusting the one-point ORP calibration.
The specified sample-temperature and pH compensation range is 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F). For better measurement conditions and probe life, the manual advises avoiding sample solutions below 5°C or above 45°C. Calibrate close to the sample temperature, with a difference of less than 10°C. These are sample-related figures, not a separately specified ambient operating range.
Rinse the probe with distilled or deionized water before and after use, and keep it hydrated with 3M KCl solution in the closed cap. Do not store it in pure water. When sensitivity declines beyond recovery, fit a PR60F-DE replacement probe (AI317-E), restore factory settings and recalibrate as the manual directs. Replacement probes are sold separately.
The kit includes the PR60F tester and probe, pH 4.00/7.00/10.01 buffers, a 222 mV ORP standard, pH and ORP calibration vials, 3M KCl storage solution, a lanyard, printed instructions and a carrying case. Apera’s limited warranty runs for two years on the instrument and six months on the probe from delivery, subject to its stated exclusions.
Manufacturer limited warranty
Apera covers the instrument for two years and the probe for six months from delivery against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship. Accidental damage, misuse, normal wear, transport or storage damage, unauthorized repair or modification and other exclusions are not covered. See the manual for the complete terms.
