Compatible ZenTest tester body
The flat sensing surface is designed for surface pH work rather than penetrating a solid sample.
Apera names small-volume solution samples among the probe’s applications. No minimum sample volume is specified here.
The replacement assembly includes a built-in temperature sensor together with the flat glass pH membrane.
Apera specifies a blue inner gel solution for this exact probe. Correct conditioning, calibration and storage remain part of its routine use.
Compatibility applies to the named tester body and stated sensing role. A shared connector or a similar probe name does not make every 60-series sensor interchangeable. Tester display, connectivity, app and data functions belong to the compatible tester, not this replacement probe.
Remove the probe cap, unscrew the probe ring and unplug the old probe. Align the new probe correctly before plugging it in, then tighten the probe ring. Do not force the connector.
After replacement, soak the probe in 3M KCl for 5–15 minutes, then calibrate the compatible tester before measuring. Follow the manual for the particular tester body and use fresh, clean pH calibration buffers.
For surface work, use an appropriate preparation method for the sample and establish contact between the flat sensing face and the test area. For liquid samples, follow the tester’s immersion instructions and wait for a stable reading. Do not use the flat probe as a spear.

Rinse the sensing area with pure water before and after measurements. Pure water is for rinsing, not storage: do not leave the probe in tap, RO, distilled or deionized water.
Keep the probe moist in Apera 3M KCl storage solution when it is not in use. Follow the storage-cap or storage-sleeve instructions for the compatible tester. Rinse away crystallized storage salts and replace contaminated storage solution.
Handle the glass sensing area carefully. If readings become unreliable, follow the parent tester’s cleaning and calibration guidance and inspect for damage rather than assuming that changing the probe alone resolves every measurement problem.
