Put the transfer formats next to each other

Dilution and concentration workflows often move liquid between different tube sizes. Rota-Rack Duo lets the two sections present different formats at the same time, giving the source and destination tubes defined positions on one rack. Establish the position map before the transfer so that the physical layout supports the written procedure.

Choose each section face independently

The blue section offers 96 positions for 0.2 mL tubes or 48 positions for 1.5/2.0 mL tubes on its reverse. The purple section offers 48 positions for 0.5 mL tubes or 48 positions for 1.5/2.0 mL tubes on its reverse. Rotating the two sections independently produces four combinations; it does not make all four faces accessible at once.

Alphanumeric identification helps locate wells when the orientation and tube formats have been chosen. The polypropylene rack measures 29.6 × 11.8 × 3.4 cm. Leave access around caps and pipettes, and make any change of rack orientation part of a deliberate setup step rather than an unrecorded change in the middle of a transfer series.
