Set up once, then move the loaded array

Place the tray over a suitable 96-well tube rack, prepare and fill the PCR tubes, then transfer the tray for processing or storage. The manufacturer’s sequence is the useful distinction from a fixed rack: the thin carrier supports moving the array rather than moving each individual tube. Confirm the fit with the rack and thermal cycler used in your workflow before loading samples.

A carrier is not the same as a storage enclosure

The tray is designed to sit on 96-well racks and thermal cyclers and to work with 96-well lidded storage trays. It is not itself a lidded box. Choose it for transfer; choose a separate storage format when protection and enclosure are the primary need. The handling photograph makes the thin profile easier to judge than a top view alone.

Match format and cleaning method

The tray accommodates individual 0.2 mL tubes or strips in an 8 × 12 array. Polypropylene is rated for autoclaving at 121°C. Heathrow recommends a pH-neutral cleanser and does not recommend solvents. Use those material limits when incorporating the carrier into an established cleaning procedure.
