Choose the 64 series when you prefer a cushioned sitting surface but do not need an adjustable seat-height mechanism. The vinyl-covered insert is set into a steel seat pan, with a welded foot ring below. Select the fixed-height model that suits your work surface, then choose back support and the matching upholstery/frame color.
The sitting surface is padded, while the seat height remains fixed. Grey and black each coordinate the vinyl and frame. On B models, the backrest adjusts independently without changing the seat height.

What changes from the unpadded stool?
The main difference is the cushioned vinyl-covered sitting insert and its MDF core. This page keeps the fixed-height setup, welded steel frame and backrest choice. It is not an adjustable-height or swivel conversion.

A cushioned sitting surface
NPS describes an 11.5-inch vinyl-padded insert set into the 14-inch steel seat pan. Manufacturer component details list 0.5-inch padding and a 4.75mm MDF core.
Two coordinated color options
Choose grey vinyl with a grey frame, or black vinyl with a black frame. Upholstery and frame are paired, not independently selectable color choices.
Steel support beneath the seat
The frame uses 18-gauge, 7/8-inch outside-diameter steel tubing and a welded 5/8-inch outside-diameter foot ring. Do not stand on the foot ring.
B adds back support
B models include a backrest that adjusts 2 inches vertically and 2 inches forward/back. That positioning adjustment does not change the fixed seat height.
Glides at the floor
Inspect the glides, welds and fasteners regularly. Use only on a stable, flat, dry indoor surface and stop use if the stool is unstable or damaged.
Select for your actual work surface
Catalogued seat heights are 18, 24 and 30 inches. Confirm finished height and floor footprint before planning tight clearances; the seat diameter is not the maximum base width.
Choose the height around the actual work surface
Measure the finished worktop, underside clearance and space for the user. Compare the fixed-height configurations in the selector and consider knee room and foot support. The 14-inch pan diameter does not describe the floor footprint.

Care, documents and support
Use mild soap, water and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners, ammonia and excess heat. Use indoors on a stable, flat, dry surface; do not stand on the stool or foot ring, rock or jump. Inspect welds, glides and fasteners and stop use if damaged or unstable.

Is the seat height adjustable?
No. This page covers the fixed-height 6418, 6424 and 6430 models and their B/backrest and color versions. B changes the backrest position, not the seat height. Adjustable H/HB models and swivel stools are separate designs.
What is inside the padded seat?
The manufacturer describes an 11.5-inch vinyl-padded insert in a 14-inch steel seat pan, with 0.5-inch padding and a 4.75mm MDF core. It is not the bare Masonite sitting surface of the 62 series. Do not interpret the insert dimension as the entire floor footprint.
Are upholstery and frame colors separate choices?
No. Grey vinyl is paired with a grey frame. The -10 black option pairs black vinyl with a black frame. The color selector chooses one coordinated combination, not separate upholstery and frame finishes.
What does the B backrest option change?
B models add a backrest with 2 inches of vertical and 2 inches of forward/back positioning adjustment. Backrest installation is covered in the first part of the complete assembly instructions. It does not add seat-height adjustment.
Does quantity one mean one stool or one carton?
Quantity one means one configured stool, not a carton. Request packing and freight details for your selected configuration and quantity.
What does the upholstery report cover?
TB117-2013 results cover the stated prototype upholstery cover and filling samples. They do not establish finished-stool open-flame certification or fireproofing. Read the complete component report for its test conditions and sample scope.
Is assembly required?
Inspect all components before use. B models require fitting the backrest and its hardware according to the complete instructions. Adjustable-leg instructions in that combined document apply to H accessories, not the fixed-leg models sold here. Check fasteners, glides and welds regularly and do not use an unstable or damaged stool.
Does the manufacturer lead time mean guaranteed delivery?
