Built around the work, not extra mechanisms
Outfit a science room, project bench or indoor workshop with a stool that keeps its seat height fixed. The NPS 6200 series pairs a steel frame with a recessed Masonite sitting surface. There is no swivel mechanism and no padding to specify. Choose the seat height first, then decide whether your work calls for a backrest and which frame finish suits the room.
The circular foot ring offers a place to rest your feet. Its 5/8-inch outside-diameter tubing is welded to the frame at four contact points. Industrial-grade plastic glides finish the legs. Use the stool only on a flat, stable, dry indoor surface.

The 14-inch seat pan surrounds an 11.5-inch Masonite insert secured with eight rivets.

Four welded contact points connect the ring to the steel frame. Do not put your full bodyweight on the foot ring.

Inspect the glides, welds and fasteners regularly. Stop use if any part is damaged or the stool is unstable.

B models provide 2 inches of vertical and 2 inches of forward/back backrest adjustment. The seat remains fixed.
Measure the finished worktop height, underside clearance and space for knees before selecting a stool. An 18-inch seat is the lowest option; 24 and 30-inch seats raise the sitting position for higher work areas. These are comparison points, not a promise of ergonomic fit. User stature, task, footwear and foot support all affect comfort. Trial a stool in the intended position when practical.
Backless models leave the back of the stool unobstructed. Backrest models add adjustable back support, but also increase overall height and require backrest installation. Check room circulation and storage clearance as well as the sitting position.

Manufacturer states a 500-lb static load capacity. The full static-load report (PDF) uses adjustable-leg specimen 6230H-10 for a 24-hour static seat test, not each of these fixed models. This is not a universal certified occupant working-load rating.
The stool-specific UL Solutions report (PDF) covers selected ANSI/BIFMA X5.1-2017(R2022) sections on 6218, 6230, 6200B and 6200H specimens. It does not establish separate testing of all 12 configurations.
Dimensional note: the manufacturer sell-sheet drawing for 6218 labels 17 inches, while its model table and exact product data specify an 18-inch seat. This selector retains the 18-inch model designation. Confirm critical clearances before ordering.
Your inquiry quantity counts configured stools, not cartons. Each configured item is one stool in the selected height, backrest and frame color. Backrest models require installation of the supplied backrest components. The combined assembly document also shows adjustable-leg models; those legs are not included with these fixed-height stools.
NPS states no minimum order except for folding chairs. We do not automatically round stool inquiry quantities to carton multiples. Manufacturer carton packing is 5, 4 or 3 stools by 18, 24 or 30-inch seat height. Final freight and packing arrangements are confirmed with your quote.
Reference list prices appear only for the selected variant. Freight is quoted separately. Manufacturer-listed lead time is 1-2 days; availability can change, and this is not a delivery guarantee.
Clean with mild soap, water and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool and harsh chemicals. Sit fully on the seat; do not stand, jump, rock or lean on the stool. Children require adult supervision.
The manufacturer limited warranty covers manufacturing defects for the original user, subject to its terms and exclusions. Our NPS warranty support guide explains the dealer-assisted process; its current examples focus on tables. The linked manufacturer warranty controls stool coverage.

No automatic carton-multiple rule applies to this inquiry. NPS states no minimums except for folding chairs. Packing and freight arrangements are confirmed with your quote.
It is a manufacturer-stated static load capacity, not a universal certified occupant working-load rating. The linked 24-hour static-load report uses adjustable-leg specimen 6230H-10, not each fixed model.
Models with a backrest require installation of the supplied backrest components. Follow the backrest pages of the combined instructions. Adjustable legs shown elsewhere in that document are not included on these fixed-height models.
Not necessarily. The manufacturer lists a 1-2 day lead time, which is not transit time or a delivery guarantee. Confirm current availability and destination freight at quote.
Measure your actual finished worktop height and underside clearance, then consider user stature, knee room and foot support. Compare the fixed 18, 24 and 30-inch seats and trial the intended sitting position when possible. No one seat and worktop pairing fits every user.
