Check the elements and reporting limits required by your method. Use appropriate blanks and lot documentation before relying on the tubes in trace analysis. A less-than-1-ppm certification is not a guarantee of suitability for every ultratrace assay.

What does metal-free mean for TotalPure tubes?
MTC Bio reports testing by ICP-MS for 38 specified metals, each below 1 part per million. It does not mean an absolute absence of every metal or guaranteed suitability at all analytical detection limits.
Which volumes and packaging can I order?
C2901 is 15 mL and C2903 is 50 mL, each in 20 resealable bags of 25 tubes, 500 per case. C2915-W is 15 mL and C2950-W is 50 mL, individually wrapped, 250 per case.
Are the tubes supplied sterile?
Yes. The manufacturer specifies e-beam sterilization to SAL 10⁻⁶ and states that the tubes are RNase-, DNase- and pyrogen-free. Maintain appropriate handling after opening.
How fast can these tubes be centrifuged?
The manufacturer rates both volumes at a maximum of 20,000 × g. Use a compatible rotor and adapter and obey any lower limits imposed by your centrifuge, sample or validated procedure.
Can I freeze samples in TotalPure tubes?
The manufacturer lists a −80°C to 120°C temperature range and prints a maximum freeze-capacity line on the tubes. Do not fill to nominal capacity for freezing; follow the printed limit and your protocol. The HDPE cap should not be assumed autoclavable.
Are these an alternative to Falcon 50 mL conical tubes?
TotalPure C2903 and Corning Falcon 352070 are both sterile 50 mL polypropylene centrifuge-tube options supplied 25 per bag and 500 per case. TotalPure emphasizes its specified trace-metal testing; do not transfer that certification to Falcon or assume equivalent analytical background. Validate rotor fit, blanks and recovery before substitution.
Is the natural-color cap leak-proof?
MTC Bio rates the tube-and-cap seal up to 95 kPa. This rating does not establish hazardous-goods transport compliance or eliminate the need to check cap closure, chemical compatibility and handling conditions.
Does a quantity of one mean one tube?
No. One unit ordered is a complete case: 500 tubes for C2901/C2903 or 250 tubes for C2915-W/C2950-W. Prices and inventory are per case.
