Which model fits small microtubes?
R8012 accepts 72 snap- or screw-cap microtubes in the 0.5–0.65 mL range.
Which models fit 1.5 and 2.0 mL tubes?
R8013 holds 72; R8014 holds 100. Both are listed for snap- and screw-cap tubes from 1.5 to 2.0 mL.
How is crushed ice added?
Lift out the removable white tube tray to fill the blue base with crushed ice, then use the rack according to your laboratory procedure.
How many racks are in quantity one?
Six complete racks of the selected model, not six individual tube positions.
How does IceRack compare with MTC Bio CoolCaddy?
IceRack has a base for crushed ice and a removable tube tray. CoolCaddy is a pre-frozen workstation. The cooling methods and vessel layouts differ; do not assume matching hold times.
What does −80°C to +135°C mean?
It is the manufacturer’s listed temperature range for the polypropylene rack. It does not specify a guaranteed sample temperature, duration or autoclaving procedure.
Are lids and tubes included?
Each rack has a detachable lid, tube platform and base. Sample tubes and ice are not included.
What are the footprints?
R8012/R8013 measure 7 × 3.75 × 2 inches. R8014 measures 6 × 6 × 2 inches, length × width × height.
