Baffled polycarbonate promotes mixing; flat-bottom PETG provides a disposable option.
Vented closures included
Polypropylene screw caps contain 0.2 µm membranes for air transmission.

Each flask is individually wrapped and gamma sterilized to SAL 10⁻⁶.
Reusable PC option
Polycarbonate flasks are rated for autoclaving at 121°C and 15 psi for 30 minutes.

What is included with these flasks?
Each case contains complete flasks with vented screw caps, individually wrapped. Replacement caps are sold separately; this is not a caps-only listing.
How do the B and F variants differ?
B indicates a baffled polycarbonate flask; F indicates a flat-bottom PETG flask. Both include polypropylene caps with 0.2 µm vent membranes. Choose the material and base required by your culture protocol.
Are the flasks sterile and individually wrapped?
Yes. MTC Bio states gamma sterilization to SAL 10⁻⁶ and individual wrapping, with RNase-, DNase-, pyrogen-, endotoxin- and human-DNA-free claims. Maintain aseptic handling after opening.
Which flasks can be autoclaved?
MTC Bio specifies polycarbonate flasks at 121°C and 15 psi for 30 minutes. PETG versions are disposable. This does not establish a repeated-use or autoclaving protocol for replacement filter caps; confirm closure-specific requirements.
Which replacement caps fit?
F4067 fits the MTC Bio 125 and 250 mL flasks: F4060-B/F and F4061-B/F. F4068 fits the 500 and 1000 mL flasks: F4062-B/F and F4063-B/F. F4069 is for the separate Jumbo family, not these sizes.
How do these compare with Corning polycarbonate Erlenmeyer flasks?
Both families include vent-cap polycarbonate shaker flasks. Corning 431144 is a 250 mL non-baffled polycarbonate flask in a 50-count case; MTC F4061-B is baffled polycarbonate in a 12-count case, while F4061-F is flat PETG. They are not identical or guaranteed drop-in substitutes. Validate material, mixing, cap fit and packaging.
What shaking volume and speed should I use?
No universal working volume or shaking speed is specified here. Nominal capacity is not the working volume. Set fill, orbit, speed and clamp support through your validated culture method and equipment guidance.
Does quantity one mean one flask?
No. Quantity one is a complete case: 24 flasks at 125 mL, 12 at 250 or 500 mL, and 6 at 1000 mL. Prices and inventory are per case.
