More positions mean smaller openings
The four partitions are not interchangeable capacity labels on one divider. HS2860E has 100 wells in a 10 × 10 array with 11.5 mm openings; HS2860H has 81 wells, 9 × 9, at 12 mm. HS2860F provides 64 wells, 8 × 8, at 15 mm, and HS2860G provides 49 wells, 7 × 7, at 17.5 mm. Compare the outside diameter of your vial before choosing the highest position count.
Check the box as well as the vial
These are divider inserts for cryogenic vial boxes, not complete boxes or open benchtop racks. The manufacturer associates them with 1.5/2.0 mL tubes, but those nominal volumes do not settle the complete fit. Confirm the internal box dimensions, partition height and tube cap clearance for your particular box before ordering replacements.
Keep the sample map consistent after a divider change
Changing from a 7 × 7 array to a 10 × 10 array changes the position map as well as the capacity. Reconcile labels and freezer records when changing the divider format. Each order supplies twelve white partitions of the selected configuration, rather than a mixed set of four divider types.
