The slot feature is the important compatibility check

The holder’s well tabs allow one-handed opening and closing only when the vial has a compatible slot feature. Start your selection there rather than assuming every vial in the nominal 2–5 mL range will engage. The manufacturer in-use image illustrates a hand turning a vial in the holder, not universal vial compatibility.

Keep orientation when moving between tasks

Embossed index numbers, alphanumeric identification and the squared upper-left corner help you return to the same position. Assign a consistent orientation before loading a sample sequence, then use your own sample record to identify contents. The rack provides physical positions; it does not identify samples automatically.
