APERA INSTRUMENTS / PH60-VS / AI3733
Thick samples are not just slow-moving water. PH60-VS pairs the portable PH60 meter with LabSen 855, using its pre-pressurized reference and ceramic junction for appropriate viscous-liquid measurements.
Choose the 855 configuration when the sample and method call for viscous-liquid reference performance. Check actual formulation compatibility; a cosmetics, paint or slurry label is not a guarantee for every solvent or mixture.
LabSen 855
Supplied electrode
Replacement AI3243
0.01 pH
Meter resolution
Meter accuracy: ±0.01 pH ±1 digit
8-pin
Matched external connection
Not an ordinary BNC-only substitution
Choose by the sample and the supplied LabSen electrode. Each card opens that model’s product page; optional compatibility does not mean an extra probe comes in the box.
AI3723
Low-ionic / pure water
LabSen 805; sample handling matters.
AI3721
Wastewater / dirty liquids
LabSen 335; open-junction routine.
AI3725
Small sample volumes
LabSen 246-5; vessel and junction contact.
AI3733
Viscous liquids
LabSen 855; reference selected for the matrix.
AI3727
Salty / alkaline water
LabSen 845; pH, not salt concentration.
AI3731
Hot / caustic water
LabSen 865; separate probe and meter limits.
AI3729
Limited-HF sample work
LabSen 835; all chemistry/time bounds apply.
AI3735
Meat / solid foods
LabSen 765; blade-sheath sampling method.
REFERENCE FLOW AND MATRIX FIT
The pre-pressurized reference is selected for appropriate viscous-sample work; it is not user-refillable.
Choose preparation and contact conditions that represent the actual formulation, not just a separated liquid layer.
Cleaning and carryover checks remain essential with coatings, slurries and formulated samples.
Internal gel-KCl is not the storage vial and not a process-pressure rating. Confirm actual solvents, chemistry and temperature before selecting a specialized probe.
PH60 meter body, LabSen 855 external pH/temperature electrode, CalPod solution organizer, pH 4.00, 7.00 and 10.01 buffers, 3M KCl storage solution, protective cap, instructions and carrying case. Four AAA batteries are factory-installed per the model’s preparation instructions.
The current US kit buffer set is pH 4.00, 7.00 and 10.01. Match that working set to your sample and calibration method; do not assume every specialized PH60 package contains the same buffers.
SAMPLE FIT BEFORE FEATURE COUNT
Use a representative compatible formulation and a residue-removal routine. Do not infer universal solvent compatibility from the application category.
Maintain glass and junction contact and avoid sample carryover. Reference design does not remove the need for method selection and cleaning.
Evaluate preparation and contact conditions rather than assuming a settled liquid layer represents the complete sample.
Pre-pressurized gel-KCl reference with silver-ion-trap design. The ceramic junction and its sample contact are part of the method, not a universal chemical-compatibility or maintenance-free guarantee.
Pre-pressurization describes the internal reference design, not a user-refillable reservoir or an industrial process-pressure rating. The listed 855 is non-refillable.
Choose a method that gives the glass and reference junction good contact with a representative sample. Rinse/remove residues between samples and follow contamination-specific cleaning and subsequent rehydration instructions.
Use the specified kit buffers and current instructions. Start at neutral as directed, then choose the appropriate additional points. Do not infer an included ORP or EC probe.
Keep glass and junction in contact with a representative sample, limit carryover, and wait for a stable reading under the defined method.
The current US specialized-kit manual specifies a PH60 display range of -2.00 to 16.00 pH, 0.01 pH resolution and ±0.01 pH ±1 digit meter accuracy. Those numbers do not by themselves establish probe-range, chemical compatibility or total method accuracy.
Temperature measurement/ATC is 0-100 °C in these current US kit instructions. A higher electrode-only temperature figure does not extend that electronic interval or validate every part of the assembly in the sample.
Current US kit/probe pages list 0-100 °C; higher manual electrode-only figures require revision confirmation
The listed LabSen 855 is non-refillable. Its internal reference/electrolyte description is separate from the external 3M KCl storage vial. Do not open/refill the reference because a chemical name appears in a table.
Rinse before and after measurements without rubbing the glass. Use contaminant-specific manufacturer care rather than an improvised chemical recipe; after deep cleaning follow the required rehydration and recalibration sequence.
Store the probe in its tightly closed vial with the specified 3M KCl solution, not tap, RO, distilled or deionized water. Keep solution fresh and the connector clean/dry. A dry or poorly stored probe needs the model’s recovery routine before calibration.
Apera’s electrode-family introduction explains the general technology. It is not an exact PH60-VS operating tutorial; use this kit’s current manual for sample preparation, limits and care.
These are separate instruments for different water-measurement tasks, not substitute specialized electrodes for PH60-VS. A general-water meter link does not establish HF, caustic, hot-process or direct-food compatibility.

It supplies LabSen 855 with a pre-pressurized reference and ceramic junction, paired with the PH60 body. It is not simply a different label on the ordinary PH60-E pocket probe.
The kit includes PH60, LabSen 855, CalPod, pH 4.00/7.00/10.01 buffers, 3M KCl storage solution, cap, instructions and case, with four AAA batteries installed as indicated in preparation.
No universal formulation/solvent compatibility is established. Match actual chemistry and sample preparation to the current 855 guidance instead of treating a category name as a blanket approval.
No. LabSen 855 is specified as non-refillable. Internal gel KCl and external 3M KCl storage solution have different purposes.
No. Current US pages and manuals have differing electrode upper bounds, and meter/ATC limits are separate. Confirm the exact revision and whole-system conditions before high-end use; do not market a 130 °C complete-kit capability.
Yes. Remove residues using current compatible cleaning guidance, not abrasion or an improvised chemical recipe. Rehydrate and recalibrate after deep cleaning as directed.
Use LabSen 855, AI3243, with the correct 8-pin connection. Similar-looking LabSen cutaways do not establish that another probe is supplied or interchangeable for the method.
It is the PH60 meter’s stated accuracy. It does not independently certify accuracy for every viscous matrix, temperature or sample-preparation method.

Use the current US exact-kit manual for the supplied configuration and operation. The LabSen handbook is additional method/selection reference, not a replacement for those instructions. Each card opens a PDF in a new tab.
