Heat tolerance and compensation are not the same specification. The PH60-HT pairs PH60 with LabSen 865 for its defined sample workflow.

APERA INSTRUMENTS / PH60-HT / AI3731
PH60-HT pairs the portable body with the specialized LabSen 865 pH/temperature electrode for suitable hot and/or caustic aqueous sample work. Its value is the matched probe choice, not a single temperature number copied onto the whole kit.
Choose AI3731 after matching the electrode, PH60 electronics and sample conditions. A probe-only 130/140 °C source rating is not a handheld-kit temperature or pressure certification.
LabSen 865
Supplied electrode
Replacement AI3241
0.01 pH
Meter resolution
Meter accuracy: ±0.01 pH ±1 digit
8-pin
Matched external connection
Not an ordinary BNC-only substitution
Choose by the sample and the supplied LabSen electrode. Each card opens that model’s product page; optional compatibility does not mean an extra probe comes in the box.
AI3723
Low-ionic / pure water
LabSen 805; sample handling matters.
AI3721
Wastewater / dirty liquids
LabSen 335; open-junction routine.
AI3725
Small sample volumes
LabSen 246-5; vessel and junction contact.
AI3733
Viscous liquids
LabSen 855; reference selected for the matrix.
AI3727
Salty / alkaline water
LabSen 845; pH, not salt concentration.
AI3731
Hot / caustic water
LabSen 865; separate probe and meter limits.
AI3729
Limited-HF sample work
LabSen 835; all chemistry/time bounds apply.
AI3735
Meat / solid foods
LabSen 765; blade-sheath sampling method.

The kit manual’s 140 °C electrode figure and a current standalone 130 °C figure are not interchangeable with meter compensation. Neither establishes continuous service, pressure capability or a complete handheld-kit 140 °C claim.
Choose a properly evaluated process system when continuous hot measurement is required. Specialized sample testing is a different task.
PH60 meter body, LabSen 865 external pH/temperature electrode, CalPod solution organizer, pH 4.00, 7.00 and 10.01 buffers, 3M KCl storage solution, protective cap, instructions and carrying case. Four AAA batteries are factory-installed per the model’s preparation instructions.
The current US kit buffer set is pH 4.00, 7.00 and 10.01. Match that working set to your sample and calibration method; do not assume every specialized PH60 package contains the same buffers.
SAMPLE FIT BEFORE FEATURE COUNT
Confirm the exact electrode revision and the complete assembly’s limits. High-temperature exposure affects electrode aging; no continuous-hot service-life promise is made.
Match chemistry, temperature and contact conditions to current 865 guidance. Do not assume suitability for every solvent, HF-containing liquid or pressurized process.
Keep calibration and sample temperature handling within the method. Electronic compensation does not eliminate every temperature effect.
Specialized high-temperature/caustic-water electrode; non-refillable. The ptfe junction and its sample contact are part of the method, not a universal chemical-compatibility or maintenance-free guarantee.
Current US sources disagree on the 865 electrode upper rating. Do not select the highest number and treat it as permission for continuous process immersion, pressurized installation or temperature compensation beyond 100 °C.
Evaluate three boundaries before ordering: the PH60 measurement/ATC specification, the exact 865 electrode rating, and the real assembly/process conditions. Keep meter body and connectors out of inappropriate hot or wet exposure.
Use the specified kit buffers and current instructions. Start at neutral as directed, then choose the appropriate additional points. Do not infer an included ORP or EC probe.
Keep glass and junction in contact with a representative sample, limit carryover, and wait for a stable reading under the defined method.
The current US specialized-kit manual specifies a PH60 display range of -2.00 to 16.00 pH, 0.01 pH resolution and ±0.01 pH ±1 digit meter accuracy. Those numbers do not by themselves establish probe-range, chemical compatibility or total method accuracy.
Temperature measurement/ATC is 0-100 °C in these current US kit instructions. A higher electrode-only temperature figure does not extend that electronic interval or validate every part of the assembly in the sample.
Current US meter/ATC 0-100 °C; probe sources list differing 130/140 °C upper ratings separately
The listed LabSen 865 is non-refillable. Its internal reference/electrolyte description is separate from the external 3M KCl storage vial. Do not open/refill the reference because a chemical name appears in a table.
Rinse before and after measurements without rubbing the glass. Use contaminant-specific manufacturer care rather than an improvised chemical recipe; after deep cleaning follow the required rehydration and recalibration sequence.
Store the probe in its tightly closed vial with the specified 3M KCl solution, not tap, RO, distilled or deionized water. Keep solution fresh and the connector clean/dry. A dry or poorly stored probe needs the model’s recovery routine before calibration.
Apera’s electrode-family introduction explains the general technology. It is not an exact PH60-HT operating tutorial; use this kit’s current manual for sample preparation, limits and care.
These are separate instruments for different water-measurement tasks, not substitute specialized electrodes for PH60-HT. A general-water meter link does not establish HF, caustic, hot-process or direct-food compatibility.

No. 140 °C appears as an electrode-only rating in some sources; other 865 sources list 130 °C. The current US PH60 meter temperature/ATC specification is 0-100 °C. These are separate boundaries.
The kit includes PH60, LabSen 865, CalPod, pH 4.00/7.00/10.01 buffers, 3M KCl storage solution, cap, instructions and case, with installed four AAA batteries supported by model preparation.
No continuous process-service or pressure rating is established by these sources. The manual advises minimizing high-temperature exposure; evaluate a proper process-rated system when continuous measurement is required.
No. Compensation is an electronic function within its specified interval, not a blanket guarantee for the sample chemistry, the reference system or an overheated component.
No. It is listed as non-refillable despite differing internal KCl/gel wording across sources. Use 3M KCl externally for storage as instructed rather than opening the reference.
No. PH60-HF uses LabSen 835 with its own restricted conditions. High-temperature/caustic positioning of 865 does not establish HF compatibility.
LabSen 865, AI3241, with the matching 8-pin interface. Confirm exact revision and intended conditions before relying on a high-end rating.
Use the current kit/probe care instructions, rinsing without abrasion and storing in specified 3M KCl. Rehydrate and recalibrate after appropriate cleaning. No guaranteed life under prolonged heat is promised.
