APERA INSTRUMENTS / PH60-HF / AI3729

Specify the HF-specific probe.
Keep its limits together.

PH60-HF pairs the portable meter with LabSen 835 for suitable strong-acid and limited-HF aqueous sample tests. This is a conditional electrode selection, not a claim of unlimited hydrofluoric-acid resistance.

Use the exact 835 chemistry and exposure guidance. The stricter US page wording is below 0.1 mol/L HF (2000 ppm), brief sample tests under one minute, and not continuous measurement. Confirm the whole method with qualified laboratory procedures.

KEEP EVERY QUALIFIER TOGETHER

Chemistry. Concentration.
Contact time. Temperature.

Exact electrode

LabSen 835 is the selected HF-specific membrane/reference configuration, not a generic interchangeable glass probe.

Bounded concentration

The stricter US product-page wording is below 0.1 mol/L HF (2000 ppm), not unrestricted concentration.

Brief sample tests

Under one minute and not continuous measurement, with all remaining method/temperature conditions confirmed.

These are manufacturer product-fit boundaries, not an HF-handling procedure. Do not drop the concentration/time qualifications or treat a marketing test-count example as a guaranteed service life.

and standards in the case.

PH60 meter body, LabSen 835 external pH/temperature electrode, CalPod solution organizer, pH 1.68, 7.00 and 10.01 buffers, 3M KCl storage solution, protective cap, instructions and carrying case. Four AAA batteries are factory-installed per the model’s preparation instructions.

The current US kit buffer set is pH 1.68, 7.00 and 10.01. Match that working set to your sample and calibration method; do not assume every specialized PH60 package contains the same buffers.

SAMPLE FIT BEFORE FEATURE COUNT

Where this configuration fits.

Limited-HF aqueous samples

Keep concentration, contact-time, temperature and chemistry qualifications together. Do not infer resistance at an unreviewed combination of conditions.

Strong-acid pH methods

Choose the exact 835 electrode and intended matrix. Broad meter pH range is not a chemical-resistance specification.

Controlled sample testing

This is product-fit information for trained laboratories, not an HF-handling or cleaning procedure. Continuous use is not established.

The electrode is the specialized part.

HF-specific glass membrane and polymer reference; non-refillable. The open junction and its sample contact are part of the method, not a universal chemical-compatibility or maintenance-free guarantee.

The source page’s stricter below/under wording is used here. A pH range or a conditional marketing test-count claim is not a warranty of unlimited HF resistance or service life.

Manufacturer PH60-HF sample/probe reference illustration
Reference imagery illustrates the application or technology. The supplied exact probe is LabSen 835.

Set up the method before chasing the number.

Before selection, confirm exact chemistry, HF concentration, exposure duration and temperature against current 835/kit instructions. Retain every condition together; do not turn a sample-test rating into continuous-monitoring permission.

Calibrate the pH system

Use the specified kit buffers and current instructions. Start at neutral as directed, then choose the appropriate additional points. Do not infer an included ORP or EC probe.

Make the right contact

Keep glass and junction in contact with a representative sample, limit carryover, and wait for a stable reading under the defined method.

Meter electronics and sample suitability are different.

The current US specialized-kit manual specifies a PH60 display range of -2.00 to 16.00 pH, 0.01 pH resolution and ±0.01 pH ±1 digit meter accuracy. Those numbers do not by themselves establish probe-range, chemical compatibility or total method accuracy.

Temperature measurement/ATC is 0-100 °C in these current US kit instructions. A higher electrode-only temperature figure does not extend that electronic interval or validate every part of the assembly in the sample.

This probe’s temperature context

LabSen 835 0-100 °C in current US sources; HF compatibility cannot be generalized across every condition

Storage solution is not a refill instruction.

The listed LabSen 835 is non-refillable. Its internal reference/electrolyte description is separate from the external 3M KCl storage vial. Do not open/refill the reference because a chemical name appears in a table.

Rinse before and after measurements without rubbing the glass. Use contaminant-specific manufacturer care rather than an improvised chemical recipe; after deep cleaning follow the required rehydration and recalibration sequence.

Store the probe in its tightly closed vial with the specified 3M KCl solution, not tap, RO, distilled or deionized water. Keep solution fresh and the connector clean/dry. A dry or poorly stored probe needs the model’s recovery routine before calibration.

See the LabSen family technology.

Apera’s electrode-family introduction explains the general technology. It is not an exact PH60-HF operating tutorial; use this kit’s current manual for sample preparation, limits and care.

Related general-water measurement workflows.

These are separate instruments for different water-measurement tasks, not substitute specialized electrodes for PH60-HF. A general-water meter link does not establish HF, caustic, hot-process or direct-food compatibility.

PH60-HF buying and method questions

Does PH60-HF resist any HF concentration?

No. The US page positions limited-HF sample tests below 0.1 mol/L (2000 ppm), under one minute, and not continuous measurement. Those qualifications must not be dropped or treated as a universal compatibility guarantee.

What electrode is supplied?

LabSen 835, not 865 or 845. Use the exact HF-specific configuration; a mechanically compatible electrode is not automatically chemically compatible.

Which buffers come in AI3729?

The current US kit set is pH 1.68, 7.00 and 10.01. A regional flyer showing 4.00 should not replace the actual US kit set.

What else is included?

PH60, LabSen 835, CalPod, 3M KCl storage solution, cap, instructions and case are listed, with installed four AAA batteries indicated by preparation. A generic PH60-E or ORP probe is not an additional inclusion.

Can it be used for continuous HF monitoring?

No continuous use is established; the manufacturer limits this positioning to brief sample tests. Select a properly evaluated system for a different exposure pattern.

Does the pH range prove chemical compatibility?

No. Electronic pH range, glass suitability, HF concentration, contact time, temperature and the rest of the method are separate considerations. No unqualified chemical-resistance guarantee is made.

Is LabSen 835 refillable?

No. It is non-refillable. Use the specified 3M KCl storage/conditioning routine externally and do not infer a reference-refilling procedure from electrolyte wording.

Where are the correct operating and care instructions?

Use the linked current US PH60-HF manual and exact 835 guidance. The listing does not reproduce hazardous cleaning or HF-handling recipes. Replacement electrode catalog is AI3239 with 8-pin connection.
