SNA is a sialic acid-binding lectin derived from elderberry (Sambucus nigra), conjugated to alkaline phosphatase for enzyme-linked detection of α2-6-linked sialic acid residues. It is used in glycan profiling, lectin blotting, and histochemistry to study glycoprotein expression and sialylation patterns in cancer, immunology, and developmental biology. The AP tag enables sensitive colorimetric detection in ELISA-style workflows and tissue staining.
