Digital pH Smart Probe for Continuous Process Control

Built for around-the-clock monitoring, this industrial probe reads pH and temperature together and sends both to your controller as a clean digital signal. It plugs directly into the Hanna HI510 and HI520 Universal Process Controllers, which identify the probe automatically the moment it's connected.

Calibration travels with the probe. Model, serial number, firmware, and calibration data are stored in the probe itself, so you can calibrate at the bench and install in the field without recalibrating at the controller.

  • PVDF body stands up to solvents, bleach, UV exposure, and biological growth, and wipes clean easily.
  • Flat sensing tip sheds deposits instead of collecting them, cutting down on cleaning between calibrations.
  • Built-in temperature sensor compensates pH readings automatically as process temperature shifts.
  • Matching pin guards against ground-loop interference from pumps and other equipment in the tank.
  • 3/4" NPT thread for in-line mounting, tank immersion, or a flow cell.

Choosing Your Configuration

Glass sensor type should match your process chemistry and temperature:

Low Temperature (LT) 0 to 12 pH -5 to 80 °C Ambient-temperature water and wastewater
High Temperature (HT) 0 to 14 pH 0 to 100 °C Hot processes and strongly alkaline solutions
Fluoride-resistant (HF) 0 to 10 pH -5 to 60 °C Solutions containing fluoride or hydrofluoric acid

Junction: PTFE resists clogging and chemical attack, and is the better pick for dirty or aggressive process streams. Ceramic is the standard choice for cleaner water.

Cable length: the 5, 10, 15, 25, and 50 m options include a patch cable that connects to the probe's DIN connector. Measure the routed path from the probe to the controller, not the straight-line distance. The DIN connector option ships without a cable, for installations that need a patch cable purchased separately.

Compatibility

This is a digital probe that communicates over RS-485. It works with the Hanna HI510 and HI520 process controllers and will not connect to BNC-input meters or controllers. For a BNC system, ask us about the analog versions of this probe.

    Digital pH and temperature probe for continuous process monitoring and chemical dosing control. Calibration data is stored in the probe, and the controller recognizes it automatically on connection.

    • LT glass (-18 series): ambient-temperature water, wastewater, and low-conductivity samples
    • HT glass (-38 series): full 0 to 14 pH range and processes up to 100 °C
    • HF glass (-48 series): solutions containing fluoride or hydrofluoric acid

    Choose PTFE or ceramic junction and cable length from 5 to 50 m. Not compatible with BNC meters.

    Shipping Policy

    • All orders are shipped via FedEx from Hanna Instruments' fulfillment center in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
    • FedEx Ground is the standard method; expedited options (2-Day, Overnight) are available for an additional cost.
    • Hanna Instruments only ships to residential or business addresses within the United States (no PO Boxes).
    • Orders placed after business hours, weekends, or holidays will ship the next business day, pending product and carrier availability.
    • Shipping timelines may vary depending on product availability, order size, and carrier logistics.
    • Blue Tiger Scientific and Hanna Instruments are not responsible for carrier delays, weather-related disruptions, or other unforeseen delivery issues once the order has shipped.

    Return Policy

    • All return requests must be coordinated directly with Blue Tiger Scientific before a product is sent back.
    • Products must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by Blue Tiger Scientific before being returned.
    • Products must be returned in new or like-new condition, with the original packaging and proof of purchase (such as an invoice or packing slip).
      Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise stated.
    • Unauthorized returns (without an RMA) will be refused and returned at the customer's expense.
      Returns are subject to inspection and approval. Products not in acceptable condition may be denied credit.
    • Some products, such as custom-built, special order, and hazardous materials, may not be eligible for return.

    Warranty Policy

    • Hanna Instruments' products are covered by their Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
    • All warranty claims and services are handled directly by Hanna Instruments.
    • Warranty periods vary by product. If unspecified, the standard warranty term is 18 months from the Hanna Instruments factory ship date.
    • If you experience an issue believed to be covered under warranty, please contact Hanna Instruments for guidance on how to submit your warranty request to Hanna Instruments.
    • Customers must follow Hanna Instruments' warranty submission process, including providing a claim number, product model and serial number, and a detailed description of the issue.
    • Hanna Instruments will determine whether products are repaired, replaced, or otherwise serviced under warranty.
    • Note: Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorized repairs, or improper storage and handling.
