Clean glass cuvettes between samples

Prepare glass cuvettes for their next optical measurement with Hanna’s alcohol-based, anti-static cleaner. Follow cleaning with repeated distilled- or deionized-water rinses and complete air drying, as directed by the instrument procedure.

One 230 mL bottle for your cuvette-care routine

HI93703-50 is supplied as one 230 mL bottle of cuvette cleaning solution. Hanna uses an airtight bottle with a tamper-proof seal, and marks each bottle with a lot number and expiration date for traceability.

An anti-static finish for clean glass

Hanna’s alcohol-based formula cleans glass without leaving haze, while its anti-static formulation helps prevent lint from sticking to the clean surface. It is intended for glass cuvettes used in colorimetric and turbidimetric measurements and other laboratory glassware.

Wash, rinse repeatedly, then air dry completely

First check the exact cell and instrument cleaning procedure. Wash suitable glass cuvettes with HI93703-50 as directed. Rinse well multiple times with distilled or deionized water, then allow the cuvettes to air dry completely before reuse. Use the complete method for any dilution or contact-time instructions.

Match the cleaner to the cell and method

This is not blanket approval for plastic, coated or sealed cells, digestion reagent vials or instrument electronics. Do not open sealed standards to clean them. Use the exact cell instructions to determine where and how washing is permitted.

Plan storage and delivery before replenishing

The US SDS classifies the solution as a flammable liquid and vapour and as causing serious eye irritation. Keep away from heat and use protective gloves and eye/face protection as directed by the SDS. Hanna limits Dangerous Goods shipment to ground. The unopened-bottle expiration period is five years from manufacture—not from purchase; follow the date on supplied stock.

Cleaning is not calibration

A cleaner washes glassware; a microfiber cloth removes exterior marks before insertion; a certified standard checks instrument performance. Keep these jobs separate, and retain the sample chemistry and timing required by your exact method.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size bottle am I ordering?

One 230 mL bottle of HI93703-50 cuvette cleaning solution. This is a single-size replenishment offer, not a multi-size selector.

What is it designed to clean?

Suitable glass cuvettes used with colorimeters, photometers and turbidity meters, and other laboratory glassware. Follow the exact cell and instrument cleaning procedure.

What must happen after washing?

Rinse well multiple times with distilled or deionized water and allow the cuvette to air dry completely. Rinsing once or immediately reusing a wet cuvette is not the stated workflow.

Does it replace an exterior wipe?

No. Washing is a separate care step. Before measurement, follow the method’s final exterior inspection and wiping instructions so the glass is clean and dry.

Is it a reagent or calibration standard?

Neither. It is a cleaning supply, not an assay reagent or certified standard. It does not replace sample reagents, CAL Check standards or turbidity standards.

May I use it on every cuvette material or sealed standard?

No universal material compatibility is established. Follow instructions for the exact cell; do not open sealed standards or treat instrument electronics with this cleaner.

How are bottles dated and shipped?

Each bottle carries a lot number and expiration date. Hanna states five years from manufacture for an unopened bottle and ground shipment only for this Dangerous Goods product.

Where can I find the correct safety information?

The Manuals/Brochures tab provides the official US HI93703-50 Safety Data Sheet. Read it before use for handling, protective equipment, storage, disposal and emergency information.
