Keep freshwater buffering-capacity checks on schedule. Refill your freshwater alkalinity workflow with matched HI775S colorimetric reagent for 25 tests. Use alkalinity trends to follow water buffering capacity without confusing the result with pH or a marine-alkalinity formulation.

Alkalinity method lists HI775-26; check the separately supplied chlorine-removal helper.
Exact six-digit model lists HI775-26; current method specifies HI937554-53 separately.

Keep freshwater buffering-capacity monitoring supplied with HI775-26: matched HI775S colorimetric reagent for 25 tests. Choose this refill to follow alkalinity trends with your compatible photometer—not to measure pH, calcium or marine alkalinity.
0–500 mg/L (ppm) as CaCO3; freshwater alkalinity, not calcium concentration
Choose HI775-26 for the HI775 Checker or the documented alkalinity methods on HI83300, HI83303, HI83326, HI83399, HI97104 and HI971044. Match the method and cuvette to your exact model; HI755 marine and HI772 dKH reagents are not interchangeable with this freshwater formulation.
One HI775-26 refill provides 25 tests and includes one syringe and one tip, as listed in the HI775 manual. The photometer, cuvettes and CAL Check verification materials are separate. Check any required chlorine remover separately.
Have your model-appropriate 1 mL dosing syringe/tip, cuvette, stopper/cap and lint-free wipe ready. This is a refill for an existing testing setup, not an instrument starter kit.
The HI775 Checker method needs accurate dosing and prompt reading, so choose this refill for a workflow where you can complete each test without delay. Use the full HI775 Checker manual for preparation and handling; benchtop and portable photometer users must follow their own model’s complete method rather than copy Checker steps.
Chlorine can interfere, so check whether your samples need the model-specified removal reagent before ordering. HI775 and HI97104 specify HI93755-53 when chlorine is present; HI971044 specifies HI937554-53 in its alkalinity procedure. Follow your exact model manual and do not substitute between these codes.
Read the current HI775S SDS and follow the supplied lot label for storage, PPE and disposal. Use the lot’s expiry date rather than dates shown in product photographs.
No. HI775-26 is the freshwater formulation for a 0–500 ppm as CaCO3 method. HI755 is a different marine formulation and HI772 is a different dKH method; do not select reagents by a shared alkalinity name alone.
No. The result expresses alkalinity on a calcium-carbonate equivalent basis; it is not a calcium concentration or a pH reading. The HI775 manual gives 1 ppm CaCO3 = 0.02 meq/L = 0.056 dKH as reporting conversions, not different reagent methods.
HI83300, HI83303, HI83326, HI83399, HI97104 and HI971044 explicitly list HI775-26. The HI775 Checker manual also names it. For HI971044, the current MAN971044 11/25 manual applies to software v1.02 and higher. Use your exact model method and cuvette rather than assuming every Hanna alkalinity program accepts this reagent.
The manufacturer states 25 tests, and the HI775 manual accessory entry explicitly names one syringe and one tip with HI775-26. This is not a complete instrument starter kit. Chlorine remover, photometer, cuvettes and check standards are not represented as included; no total liquid volume is inferred from the 1 mL analytical dose.
Zero with 10 mL unreacted sample. Add exactly 1 mL HI775S, cap, gently invert five times and read promptly. Keep the same cuvette orientation and its outside dry and fingerprint-free. Air bubbles or a spilled reagent dose can affect the colorimetric reading.
Chlorine interferes. HI775 and HI97104 instruct adding one drop of HI93755-53 when chlorine is present. Exact-model HI971044 names HI937554-53 and includes its one-drop addition in the procedure. Do not silently substitute one code for the other; use the helper specified by your model and confirm it separately.
No. The HI775 manual warns that standing too long after adding reagent affects accuracy. Read promptly and discard the reacted sample immediately after reading to reduce permanent cuvette staining. Rinse and clean according to the instrument instructions.
Confirm the compatible instrument and model-specific cuvettes/caps, your dosing syringe/tip, a clean wipe and the applicable chlorine-removal helper. CAL Check materials verify the instrument but are not analytical reagents. Follow the supplied lot label for storage and expiry; no stock-lot expiry or dispatch date is guaranteed here.
