Keep compatible 1.5–2.0 mL microtubes organized in a water bath or crusted ice. Choose a 16-well square-format or 20-well round-format rack; each pack supplies four racks.

The 16-well and 20-well versions provide different layouts and footprints. Compare them with the clear space in your bath and the number of tubes you need to group. More wells do not necessarily mean the most convenient arrangement when access and neighboring equipment limit the working area.
With the detachable legs fitted, the rack can stand upright on the bench. Removing the legs also allows samples to be pushed out by pressing the rack down on a suitable surface, as described by the manufacturer. Plan that step around the tubes and samples in use rather than forcing a tight-fitting tube.

Heathrow lists use in water baths or pushed into crusted ice and a low-temperature capacity of 0°C. That is not a freezer-storage rating. The polypropylene racks are described as autoclavable, but no temperature is specified on the current product page; confirm the cleaning cycle before treating a general material assumption as a validated procedure.
HS2132A: Square format; 16 wells — Pack of 4. HS2134A: Round format; 20 wells — Pack of 4.
