APERA INSTRUMENTS / ORP60-DE / AI3717-E
Restore the sensing end of your ORP60-Z with the ORP60-DE: a platinum ORP probe with a double-junction structure and built-in temperature sensor for general water solutions. This is the probe, not a complete tester.
CURRENT PROBE: ORP60-DE
These are selected compatible tester bodies, not items included with this replacement probe. See the complete compatibility table below.
Dedicated replacement ORP probe
Measures oxidation-reduction potential in general water solutions when connected to the ORP60-Z.
Apera specifies a double-junction design for this replacement electrode.
A built-in temperature sensor is part of the ORP60-DE hardware; the compatible tester provides the display and controls.
Choose this model for an ORP60-Z, rather than an ORP add-on for a pH or multiparameter tester.
Compatibility applies to the named tester body and stated sensing role. A shared connector or a similar probe name does not make every 60-series sensor interchangeable. Tester display, connectivity, app and data functions belong to the compatible tester, not this replacement probe.
Remove the probe cap, unscrew the probe ring and unplug the old probe. Align the replacement correctly, insert it and tighten the ring as directed in the ORP60-Z manual.
Rinse the sensing end with distilled water, remove excess water, immerse it in the sample and stir briefly. Hold still and read the ORP value only after the tester indicates a stable reading.
The ORP60-Z manual recommends checking performance in an ORP standard after extended use and calibrating if the error is large. Follow the standard solution’s temperature reference table; do not apply pH buffer calibration to an ORP electrode.
Use with ORP60-Z to measure redox potential in regular water solutions.
Replace the sensing module when cleaning and conditioning no longer restore acceptable performance.
Rinse the probe after each test. The US ORP60-Z manual recommends one or two drops of tap water in the closed cap for routine storage; not a cap filled with water. Do not leave the electrode soaking in distilled or deionized water.
For a slow response, the manual calls for conditioning in 3M KCl storage solution for 30 minutes, or about 8 hours if the electrode has been dry for longer than a month. Storage solution is an external conditioning liquid, not a direction to refill the electrode.
For organic or oily contamination on the platinum surface, the ORP60-Z manual specifies dishwashing liquid, a distilled-water rinse and 6 hours in KCl storage solution. Use the manual’s separate procedures for other contamination; these are ORP-sensor instructions, not pH-glass cleaning instructions.
ORP60-Z only. It is the dedicated replacement listed for that tester.
No. The documented ORP add-on for those bodies is ORP60-DA, not ORP60-DE.
Yes. The exact ORP60-DE listing specifies a built-in temperature sensor.
No. This listing is for the replacement probe; a compatible ORP60-Z is required.
No. It is a platinum ORP electrode, not a pH probe.
No. Follow the ORP60-Z procedure and use an appropriate ORP standard, with the standard’s temperature reference values.
The cited instructions describe external soaking and cap care, not an electrolyte-refill procedure. Do not treat storage solution as a refill instruction.
Six-month limited electrode warranty from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship attributable to Apera. Excludes accidental damage, improper use, normal wear, transportation or storage issues, failure to follow instructions, unauthorized repair or modification, and external causes.
Apera Manufacturer Limited Electrode Warranty
Six months from delivery for qualifying defects in materials and workmanship attributable to Apera, subject to its stated terms. The parent tester warranty does not extend this probe coverage.
Exclusions include accidental damage, improper use, normal wear, transportation or storage issues, failure to follow instructions, unauthorized repair or modification, and external causes. Follow the exact probe and compatible tester instructions for installation, calibration and care.
Each card opens a verified official PDF. Parent-tester manuals cover the stated body and its procedures; they are not standalone specifications for this probe. Regional documents are identified, and warranty or compatibility wording can differ from US documentation. Use this listing’s specific compatibility notes.
