This 10% (w/v) solution of 2-hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin (HPγCD) is a high-purity reagent designed for advanced host–guest chemistry, solubility enhancement, and pharmaceutical formulation. HPγCD is a modified γ-cyclodextrin with eight glucose units, offering the largest cavity size among cyclodextrins. Its hydroxypropylation improves aqueous solubility and reduces crystallinity, making it ideal for encapsulating bulky hydrophobic molecules.

Supplied in ultrapure water and filtered through 0.22 µm membranes, this biotechnology-grade solution is packaged in 25 mL aliquots and stored at 2–8°C. HPγCD is widely used in drug delivery, wound healing, and gene therapy applications. It has demonstrated efficacy in enhancing lysosome–ER association, improving autophagy, and stabilizing poorly soluble compounds. Its compatibility with analytical and biological workflows makes it a versatile tool for researchers and formulators.
