Selection and Use Tip
Select a working range per channel—not the sum across all channels—and match the tip capacity to that range. The 120–1200 µL models need suitable high-capacity tips; a 300 µL tip is not a substitute. Confirm tip fit and validate your dispensing setup before repeated transfers.

Is ProPette LE an alternative to Eppendorf Research plus multichannel pipettes?
It is an option to compare for matching channel count and volume range. P5208-300U is an 8-channel 30–300 µL model, a format also offered in the Eppendorf Research plus family. Compare tip fit, handling and calibration requirements before substituting instruments; these products are not claimed to be identical or OEM replacements. Which ProPette LE channel counts are available?
P5204 models have 4 channels, P5208 models have 8 channels and P5212 models have 12 channels. Each series has six volume ranges, for 18 models total.
Which catalog numbers handle 120–1200 µL?
Choose P5204-1M for 4 channels, P5208-1M for 8 channels or P5212-1M for 12 channels. All three cover 120–1200 µL per channel.
Are the volume specifications per channel?
Yes. The ranges 1–10, 2–20, 5–50, 20–200, 30–300 and 120–1200 µL apply to each channel, not to the combined output of the pipettor.
Which tips should I use with these pipettors?
The family is designed for universal-style tips. MTC lists standard 10, 200, 300, 1000, 1200 and 1250 µL tip capacities, including standard filter tips. Select the capacity for your exact model and confirm a leak-tight fit. P5204-1M, P5208-1M and P5212-1M require tips appropriate for 120–1200 µL transfers.
Can I lock the volume, and how does tip ejection work?
ProPette LE models use Roto-Lock volume control. The upgraded multichannel design combines an enlarged ejector button with stepped ejection that releases tips two at a time to reduce ejection effort.
Are a calibration certificate and warranty included?
Yes. MTC states that ProPette LE multichannel pipettors include a calibration certificate and a three-year warranty. The included certificate is not a substitute for your laboratory’s ongoing calibration and quality-control program.
How many pipettors are supplied for each SKU?
Each catalog number is sold as one pipettor. For example, P5204-200U supplies one 4-channel 20–200 µL instrument, while P5212-1M supplies one 12-channel 120–1200 µL instrument. It is not a set of all 18 models.
