Choose a bag that matches your validated waste-handling process. MTC Bio autoclave bags are made from heavy-gauge polypropylene with a 2.25 mil thickness. They withstand autoclaving up to 136 °C (277 °F), and their containment is completely unaffected at the standard 121 °C cycle.
Seamless bottoms eliminate the weakest point on a typical bag. The film is pliable, stretch- and poke-resistant, and leak-resistant, but these properties do not make a bag a sharps container; follow your facility’s waste-segregation procedures.
Benchtop bags, red only: A9004R is 8.5 × 11 in., 0.43 gal, 100/pack; A9006R is 10 × 12.5 in., 0.75 gal, 100/pack. Larger bags, clear or red: A9000C/A9000R are 12.2 × 26 in., 3 gal; A9002C/A9002R are 24 × 32 in., 12 gal. Each larger pack contains 200 bags in four inner packs of 50.
Accessories are not bag refills: A9004-WR is one wire stand for A9004R bags. A9004-SK is a disposal set with one stand and 400 red 8.5 × 11 in. bags.
Material and fit: These bags are 2.25 mil polypropylene rated up to 136 °C. Confirm physical dimensions and your validated process; a gallon capacity is not a universal bin-fit guarantee. Need a drawstring and named foot-pedal bin pairings? Compare BowTie biohazard bags and bins, whose HDPE bags are rated for 121 °C cycles.

OSHA
29 CFR 1910.1030 compliant marking

Every bag is printed with "Hazardous Waste" and the universal biohazard symbol, with markings described by MTC Bio as conforming to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030; follow all applicable waste-handling requirements.
An oversized white marking panel accepts all permanent markers, so lab name, date, and contents stay legible, even after autoclaving.

Keep biohazard waste within arm's reach with the A9004-WR wire rack stand. It holds an 8.5 × 11 in. bag open and upright right at your workstation.
The A9004-SK Benchtop Disposal Set bundles one stand with 400 red 8.5 × 11 in. bags. Want a covered option? The BenchBin™ adds a spring-loaded lid.
Never seal a bag airtight before autoclaving. Follow your facility’s validated procedure for closure and steam penetration; do not infer cycle settings from the bag’s material rating. Use secondary containment in the autoclave pan for liquids. For larger bins with instant-cinch closure, see the BowTie™ Biohazard Family.
The 3 gal A9000C/A9000R and 12 gal A9002C/A9002R bags come in clear or red, 200/pack. The 0.43 gal A9004R and 0.75 gal A9006R benchtop bags are red, 100/pack.
MTC Bio rates these polypropylene bags for autoclaving up to 136 °C (277 °F). This is a material temperature rating, not a validated cycle prescription or proof that a load is sterile. It does not extend to separate stands or bins.
The bags are 2.25 mil polypropylene with seamless bottoms and a printed marking area. Leak resistance and puncture resistance do not make them sharps containers; follow your facility’s waste-segregation procedures.
MTC Bio describes the Hazardous Waste text and biohazard symbol as conforming to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030. Printed markings alone do not establish that an entire waste-handling process complies with every applicable rule.
MTC Bio pairs A9004R 8.5 × 11 in. bags with the original 1.5 L BenchBin and A9006R 10 × 12.5 in. bags with BenchBin 3L. Those bins are separate products, not included with bag-only packs.
The 3 and 12 gal options are 200/pack in four inner packs of 50. The benchtop A9004R and A9006R options are 100/pack. Check the SKU rather than assuming the same pack count for every size.
A9004-WR is a stand-only option for 8.5 × 11 in. A9004R bags. A9004-SK includes one metal stand and 400 red 8.5 × 11 in. bags.
This range uses polypropylene rated up to 136 °C and offers 0.43, 0.75, 3 and 12 gal bag capacities. BowTie bags use drawstring closures and HDPE for 121 °C cycles, with 12 and 30 gal bags and separately sold foot-pedal bins. Choose for your process and dimensions, not capacity alone.
