A large, full-color touch screen acts as the control hub, providing access to all functions. From the "Home" screen, users can easily view the last run program, access the program library, or use the program wizard to swiftly set up a protocol. Favorite programs can also be added as icons for quicker access.

The program wizard simplifies protocol setup on a single screen. Once a program is entered, it is displayed graphically and can be edited by tapping the relevant step. Programs can incorporate time and temperature increments, as well as slower ramp rates. Storage options are extensive, with programs storable in public folders, password-protected private folders, or on a flash drive. The full virtual keyboard allows for alphanumeric naming of programs and folders.

The fully adjustable heated lid helps prevent sample condensation and evaporation. The lid temperature can be programmed and automatically shuts off when the block temperature drops below 35°C. The block's heating and cooling are precisely controlled by a proprietary algorithm that accurately simulates sample temperature within tight tolerances.

With its multi-format block, the TC9639 eliminates the need for multiple interchangeable blocks. It can accommodate 96×0.2ml tubes, a 96-well plate, 0.2ml strips, or 39 x 0.5ml tubes all within the same sample block. For optimized protocol setup, a gradient can be established across the block. Additionally, an optional in-situ adapter is available for slide incubation, and the unit can be purchased with a 384-well sample block.
