BACTERIAL RESPIRATORY PATHOGENS

Thirteen pneumonia-associated bacteria, typical and atypical, from one extract.

The Biomiga Pneumonia Panel Real-Time PCR Detection Kit (QP2168) is a multiplex real-time PCR assay for the qualitative detection of thirteen bacteria associated with pneumonia, in nucleic acid extracted from oropharyngeal swabs, nasopharyngeal swabs and sputum. Targets are split across four multiplex panels with a human TERT internal control. QP2168 covers bacterial targets and the Biomiga Respiratory Panel (QP2179) covers viral targets. Confirm extraction, instrument and cycling requirements separately for each assay.

Which bacteria does the panel detect?

Does it detect viruses?

No. It targets bacteria only. For respiratory viruses, see the Biomiga Respiratory Panel (QP2179), a separate assay with its own extraction, instrument and cycling requirements.

Can this kit be used for patient diagnosis?

No. In the United States it is supplied for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Is an extraction kit included?

No. DNA must be extracted before testing. Biomiga's Universal Pathogen DNA/RNA Extraction Kit (VR6568.CX) is one option; ask us for a quote.

Will it run on my instrument?

It is designed for open real-time PCR platforms. Contact us with your instrument model and we will confirm channel compatibility with Biomiga before you order.

How is the kit shipped and stored?

It ships frozen and should be stored frozen on arrival. The expiry date is printed on the label.

    Product Use & Eligibility

Sales are limited to verified institutional and business customers shipping to a business address; we do not ship to residential addresses. Blue Tiger Scientific may request institutional verification or end-use information before shipping and may cancel any order that cannot be verified.

    Payment Terms
    Orders are prepaid by card, or invoiced against an institutional purchase order once credit is approved. Prices are in USD and subject to change without notice. Purchase orders are due within 30 days of invoice unless agreed otherwise in writing.

    Order Confirmation & Cancellations
    Confirmed orders are placed with the manufacturer and are final. Changes or cancellations must be requested in writing before shipment and approved by Blue Tiger Scientific; approved cancellations may incur restocking, materials or third-party fees.

    Accuracy of Orders
    Customers are responsible for verifying catalog numbers, pack sizes, ship-to address and recipient availability before submitting an order.

    Shipping & Cold Chain
    Shipping is calculated at checkout. Temperature-sensitive products ship by expedited service, and ship dates may be adjusted to avoid weekend or holiday transit. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed the next business day. Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. A recipient must be available to receive and store temperature-sensitive products on arrival. Blue Tiger Scientific is not liable for carrier delays, weather disruptions or other events beyond our control.

    Receiving & Claims
    Inspect every shipment on arrival. Shortages, damage or thawed temperature-sensitive product must be reported to Blue Tiger Scientific in writing, with photos, within 2 business days of delivery. Claims received after that window, and shipments that are refused, unclaimed or left unattended, are not eligible for credit or replacement.

    Returns & Refunds
    Returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) issued by Blue Tiger Scientific and must be requested within 30 days of delivery. Refunds or replacements are issued only for shipping errors or verified product defects. Temperature-sensitive products are not returnable once delivered. Customers pay return shipping unless the error was ours, and refunds exclude original shipping charges. Approved refunds are processed within 45 business days.

    Warranty
    Biomiga warrants its products to perform as described in their labeling when used in accordance with their instructions; the remedy for a product that does not is replacement, at Biomiga's option. Blue Tiger Scientific coordinates these claims with Biomiga. No other warranties, express or implied, are given.

    Limitation of Liability
    Blue Tiger Scientific's total liability for any claim is limited to the purchase price of the product involved. Blue Tiger Scientific and Biomiga are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost research time or materials, arising from the use or misuse of any product.

    Safety
    Handle all products according to the Safety Data Sheet and the manufacturer's instructions, using appropriate personal protective equipment.

    Legal & Export Compliance
    Customers must use products in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and international laws, including export control and biosafety regulations. Products may not be exported or re-exported without the required authorizations.

    Resale
    Products may not be resold or redistributed without prior written approval from Blue Tiger Scientific.
