APERA INSTRUMENTS / PH60-MT / AI3735
PH60-MT combines the portable meter with the LabSen 765 blade-spear assembly for suitable meat and other solid-food samples. The titanium blade sheath helps prepare contact around a glass sensing element; it does not make the tip unbreakable.
Choose AI3735 for a defined food-pH sampling method. Hard/frozen-material preparation is distinct from validated subzero analysis, and a pH reading alone does not establish food safety or freshness.
LabSen 765
Supplied electrode
Replacement AI3245
0.01 pH
Meter resolution
Meter accuracy: ±0.01 pH ±1 digit
8-pin
Matched external connection
Not an ordinary BNC-only substitution
Choose by the sample and the supplied LabSen electrode. Each card opens that model’s product page; optional compatibility does not mean an extra probe comes in the box.
AI3723
Low-ionic / pure water
LabSen 805; sample handling matters.
AI3721
Wastewater / dirty liquids
LabSen 335; open-junction routine.
AI3725
Small sample volumes
LabSen 246-5; vessel and junction contact.
AI3733
Viscous liquids
LabSen 855; reference selected for the matrix.
AI3727
Salty / alkaline water
LabSen 845; pH, not salt concentration.
AI3731
Hot / caustic water
LabSen 865; separate probe and meter limits.
AI3729
Limited-HF sample work
LabSen 835; all chemistry/time bounds apply.
AI3735
Meat / solid foods
LabSen 765; blade-sheath sampling method.
SAMPLE PREPARATION AND ANALYTICAL TEMPERATURE ARE DISTINCT
Use the manual’s direct-contact method with the sensing membrane and junction in contact.
The manufacturer describes a blade-created pathway before inserting the electrode; do not force the glass tip through a hard block.
Frozen-material marketing does not establish validated subzero measurement or a universal thaw protocol.
The titanium blade sheath protects a glass sensing assembly. It does not turn it into an unbreakable metal spike, and a pH number is not a food-safety or freshness verdict.
PH60 meter body, LabSen 765 external pH/temperature electrode, CalPod solution organizer, pH 4.00, 7.00 and 10.01 buffers, 3M KCl storage solution, protective cap, instructions and carrying case. Four AAA batteries are factory-installed per the model’s preparation instructions.
The current US kit buffer set is pH 4.00, 7.00 and 10.01. Match that working set to your sample and calibration method; do not assume every specialized PH60 package contains the same buffers.
SAMPLE FIT BEFORE FEATURE COUNT
Use a representative sample and the specified probe contact. The glass membrane and reference junction still need the correct sample pathway.
The manufacturer describes blade-created preparation before electrode insertion. Do not interpret frozen-meat marketing as permission to force glass through a hard block or as a subzero accuracy claim.
Match food structure and preparation to an established method. No universal direct-insertion protocol or pathogen/shelf-life assurance follows from a product category.
Titanium blade sheath protecting a glass pH sensing electrode. The open plus ceramic junction (per current US kit manual) and its sample contact are part of the method, not a universal chemical-compatibility or maintenance-free guarantee.
The sensing assembly still contains glass. A protective titanium sheath is not an all-metal/unbreakable sensor, and frozen-material marketing does not establish validated measurements below 0 °C.
For suitably prepared soft meat, the manual describes direct sample contact. Hard/frozen material needs the blade-created pathway before the electrode is inserted. Follow the actual method and temperature conditions rather than assuming all foods are tested identically.
Use the specified kit buffers and current instructions. Start at neutral as directed, then choose the appropriate additional points. Do not infer an included ORP or EC probe.
Keep glass and junction in contact with a representative sample, limit carryover, and wait for a stable reading under the defined method.
The current US specialized-kit manual specifies a PH60 display range of -2.00 to 16.00 pH, 0.01 pH resolution and ±0.01 pH ±1 digit meter accuracy. Those numbers do not by themselves establish probe-range, chemical compatibility or total method accuracy.
Temperature measurement/ATC is 0-100 °C in these current US kit instructions. A higher electrode-only temperature figure does not extend that electronic interval or validate every part of the assembly in the sample.
Current US kit manual electrode rating 0-80 °C; no validated subzero analytical claim
The listed LabSen 765 is non-refillable. Its internal reference/electrolyte description is separate from the external 3M KCl storage vial. Do not open/refill the reference because a chemical name appears in a table.
Rinse before and after measurements without rubbing the glass. Use contaminant-specific manufacturer care rather than an improvised chemical recipe; after deep cleaning follow the required rehydration and recalibration sequence.
Store the probe in its tightly closed vial with the specified 3M KCl solution, not tap, RO, distilled or deionized water. Keep solution fresh and the connector clean/dry. A dry or poorly stored probe needs the model’s recovery routine before calibration.
Apera’s electrode-family introduction explains the general technology. It is not an exact PH60-MT operating tutorial; use this kit’s current manual for sample preparation, limits and care.
These are separate instruments for different water-measurement tasks, not substitute specialized electrodes for PH60-MT. A general-water meter link does not establish HF, caustic, hot-process or direct-food compatibility.

The exact kit and BOM specify LabSen 765, AI3245. A manual introduction naming 865 is a source typo, not a reason to substitute the high-temperature 865 electrode.
PH60, LabSen 765, CalPod, pH 4.00/7.00/10.01 buffers, 3M KCl storage solution, cap, instructions and case are listed, with installed four AAA batteries indicated by preparation.
No. The manual describes a blade-created pathway for hard/frozen material before electrode insertion. The sensing element still includes glass and should not be used as a drilling stake.
No. The reviewed manual starts its electrode-temperature rating at 0 °C and does not establish a validated subzero method. Confirm sample preparation and actual conditions with the method; no blanket thaw-first rule is invented here.
No. pH alone does not prove pathogen absence, freshness, safe processing or fitness to eat. Use the required food-safety procedures and analytical methods.
No. The titanium sheath protects a glass sensing assembly, and the 765 is specified as non-refillable. Neither description establishes an unbreakable or refillable design.
The current US kit manual lists the 765 electrode at 0-80 °C; other web tables differ. The meter’s 0-100 °C temperature/ATC capability does not override the electrode or method limits.
Use the specified 3M KCl storage-vial routine and current cleaning/rehydration guidance, not pure water storage or abrasion. The exact replacement is LabSen 765, AI3245, with matching 8-pin connection.
