Pharma-Vac / Two temperature environments

Two storage needs.
One considered footprint.

Keep refrigerated and frozen materials in separately controlled compartments without planning for two full-size cabinets. The ARFG18PV combines an 11.04 cu. ft. refrigerator with a 4.5 cu. ft. freezer in a cabinet just under 28 inches wide.

One cabinet. Independent systems.

A purpose-built combination, not a household compromise.

Separate temperature control

Independent refrigeration systems and controls let the refrigerator and freezer serve their different temperature requirements.

More useful visibility

The upper refrigerator’s triple-pane window helps staff view contents before opening the door. Internal lighting and adjustable wire shelves support organization.

Built-in awareness

Temperature, door, power-failure and sensor alarms help staff recognize conditions requiring attention. Rear contacts support external alarm forwarding.

Application fit

Start with the materials. Then choose the monitoring.

Laboratories, pharmacies and professional healthcare settings may need both refrigerated and frozen storage in the same working area. This combination gives each temperature environment its own compartment and controls.

  • Refrigerated materials: +2°C to +8°C published range, with adjustable cycle defrost.
  • Frozen materials: a separate lower compartment, with static cooling and manual defrost.
  • Vaccine-storage planning: purpose-built by Accucold to support meeting CDC/VFC/VFA guidelines; select equipment and monitoring against the actual program and product requirements.

Understand the space

Separate compartments. Clear capacity planning.

Refrigerator: 11.04 cu. ft.

Four adjustable wire shelves; interior dimensions 40 H × 23.75 W × 17.75 D inches. Organize inventory so circulation paths remain clear.

Freezer: 4.5 cu. ft.

Two adjustable wire shelves; interior dimensions 15.75 H × 22 W × 19.5 D inches. Plan temporary storage for contents during manual defrost.

Temperature sensing

Understand what the display is measuring.

The manufacturer describes buffered probes in glycol-filled bottles to better reflect stored-product temperature, plus an additional air sensor for control.

The published ±1°C variation comes from a defined buffered-point test: maximum deviation near the chamber center over 24 hours. That is a different measurement from whole-cabinet air uniformity.

For your workflow, decide how temperatures will be recorded, reviewed and escalated, not just where the display sits.

Manufacturer detail: buffered temperature sensing. A display is not the same thing as an added data-logging system.

Choose your monitoring approach

Make monitoring part of the equipment decision.

The base unit, dual-USB configuration and connected configuration are distinct choices. Select one complete equipment configuration, not three separate cabinets.

Manufacturer detail: remote alarm contacts; external alarm equipment is separate.

Beyond the cabinet

Connect the alarm to your facility’s response.

Both compartments have remote alarm contacts and probe access ports. These provide connection points for an appropriate monitoring or alarm-forwarding arrangement.

At the cabinet

Audible and visual alarms, min/max displays and protected control settings support local operation.

Across the facility

Choose a monitoring configuration and assign who receives, checks and acts on excursions. Confirm the selected service scope when quoting.

Will it fit?

A narrow cabinet still needs working space.

ARFG18PV dimensions: 27.63 inches wide, 79.63 inches high, 26.25-inch cabinet depth, 27.25 inches with handle and 55.13 inches with door at 90 degrees
Allow for handle projection, door operation, receiving access and separate ventilation clearances.

Freestanding placement

The manual calls for at least five inches at the back, top and sides. Keep the lower grille unobstructed; do not plan enclosed built-in installation.

Electrical preparation

The model-specific sheet lists 115V AC/60Hz and 2.6 A. Follow the equipment label and manual for the grounded, dedicated supply.

Freight & receiving

Published unit weight is 275 lb. Request the receiving services appropriate to your destination; this is not the packed shipping weight.

Delivery planning: measure the full route, confirm receiving services, prepare power and placement
Check the complete delivery route, not just the final room.

Prepare for everyday operation

Plan for access, records and manual defrost.

  1. Organize by temperature. Place each material in the compartment matching its documented storage requirements.
  2. Set a review routine. Use the selected records and alarm tools within your facility’s procedures.
  3. Schedule freezer care. Move contents to suitable backup storage before following the manual-defrost procedure.

Base model scope

Start with the cabinet. Add the right recording system.

Base ARFG18PV

Combined cabinet with independent refrigerator/freezer systems, controls, displays and alarms; four refrigerator shelves and two freezer shelves; keyed door locks, lighting and casters.

Configuration choices

Dual USB data loggers or a PharmaWatch system are available in separately identified complete configurations. Stored materials, surrounding furniture and external facility alarm equipment are not included.

Buyer questions

Answers before you order

What is the ARFG18PV refrigerator/freezer combination?

It is a purpose-built professional cold-storage cabinet with an upper refrigerator and a lower freezer, each with its own refrigeration system and temperature control. It combines the two temperature environments within a cabinet just under 28 inches wide.

What are the compartment capacities and temperature ranges?

The refrigerator provides 11.04 cubic feet and a published +2°C to +8°C range. The freezer provides 4.5 cubic feet and a published −30°C to −10°C range. Combined capacity is 15.54 cubic feet.

Is a digital data logger included with the base ARFG18PV?

The base ARFG18PV has temperature controls, displays and alarms, but the optional digital data logger is a separate configuration choice. The ARFG18PVDL2B configuration includes two USB digital data loggers; ARFG18PVDLPW includes a PharmaWatch system with refrigerator and freezer probes.

How do the USB and cloud monitoring configurations differ?

The dual-USB configuration provides two digital data loggers with downloadable records. The PharmaWatch configuration uses a cellular connection and web portal, with refrigerator and freezer probes and notification features. Discuss current service and subscription terms as part of the configuration quote.

Does the freezer require manual defrost?

Yes. The lower freezer uses manual defrost, while the refrigerator uses adjustable cycle defrost. Plan a suitable temporary storage location for frozen contents before carrying out the manufacturer’s defrost procedure.

Does the published ±1°C variation describe every position inside the cabinet?

No. Accucold defines this measure using the maximum deviation of an NTC sensor in a one-ounce vial near the chamber center over a 24-hour test. It should not be read as a whole-cabinet air-temperature uniformity guarantee.

Can this cabinet be used for vaccine storage?

Accucold describes the series as purpose-built to support meeting CDC/VFC/VFA storage guidelines. Select the exact equipment, monitoring setup and operating procedures against your program’s current requirements and each product’s storage instructions. This is not a CDC certification.

Can the ARFG18PV be enclosed in cabinetry?

The reviewed manual describes freestanding installation and calls for at least five inches of clearance at the back, top and sides. Do not plan it as a built-in appliance. Keep the lower ventilation grille unobstructed.

What information helps us quote the right setup?

Provide the required monitoring configuration, quantity, delivery address and receiving needs, such as loading-dock access or liftgate service. Identify whether the refrigerated space, frozen space or both require additional monitoring.

Blue Tiger Scientific is a reseller, not the manufacturer. We manage your purchase and order-return requests. Accucold, a division of Felix Storch, Inc. (FSI), handles manufacturer warranty coverage, service and repairs directly.

    Ordering and delivery

Availability, dispatch timing and freight depend on the selected equipment, configuration and destination. Delivery dates shown on this page are estimates, not guarantees. Supplier processing, lead time and carrier transit can affect arrival. Contact Blue Tiger before ordering if you have a firm deadline or specific receiving requirements.

For the base equipment, standard dock or liftgate delivery charges to the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, DC are calculated at checkout. Select dock delivery only if a suitable receiving dock and unloading capability are available. Alaska, Hawaii, US territories and international destinations require a quote. Measure the complete access route and prepare the installation site using the manufacturer’s instructions.

Standard delivery does not include inside placement, stairs or white-glove services. If additional services are needed, Blue Tiger Scientific will review access, elevators, delivery level and placement requirements and provide a separate quote for your approval before any additional service charge is billed.

    Inspect your delivery

Inspect the shipment when it arrives. Keep the original cartons, packing materials and delivery paperwork. Report damage, shortages or an incorrect item to Blue Tiger immediately at info@bluetigerscientific.com, with photographs of the item, packaging, shipping label and delivery receipt.

For freight arranged by FSI or delivered on FSI trucks, FSI instructs recipients to refuse visibly damaged units and have the driver record and acknowledge the damage on the delivery paperwork. On a multi-unit shipment, refuse the damaged units rather than the undamaged remainder. Concealed damage must be reported within five days after delivery acceptance; contact Blue Tiger immediately so the manufacturer’s reporting deadline can be met.

For customer-nominated, collect or third-party-carrier shipments, claims must be pursued with that carrier. Do not assume FSI will accept a freight-damage return. Contact Blue Tiger for the order information and instructions before arranging any return shipment.

Order returns must start with Blue Tiger

All order-return requests must be initiated through Blue Tiger Scientific at info@bluetigerscientific.com. Accucold/FSI does not provide an automatic buyer’s-remorse return right. Eligibility and written authorization must be confirmed before anything is shipped.

    • Contact Blue Tiger within 14 days of delivery to request review, subject to the product-specific manufacturer restrictions. FSI does not accept an eligible factory-sealed return after 30 days from its original shipment date, so request review promptly enough for an authorized return to meet that deadline.
    • Include your Blue Tiger order number, exact manufacturer part number, serial number if applicable, quantity, contact details and reason for the request. Provide the photographs required for the manufacturer’s review.
    • Wait for written return authorization and the designated return address. Do not send an order return to Blue Tiger’s business address or directly to FSI without these instructions.
    • For an eligible non-defective stock return, FSI requires the original unopened carton and an undamaged appliance in new condition. Opened packages are not accepted under that return route.
    • FSI applies a 25% restocking charge per eligible returned item and may charge a higher percentage on larger orders. Your authorization will state the applicable charges. Original outbound freight, including embedded freight on a shipment, reduces the return credit.
    • The customer is responsible for approved non-defective return freight and insurance. Use the authorized carrier and instructions supplied for this heavy equipment. Damage, incorrect-item and defect reports are reviewed separately from an unwanted-product request.

    Customized and factory-upgraded equipment

FSI excludes made-to-order models with customizations from ordinary returns. Its listed exclusions include factory-installed thermometers, alarms, data loggers and digital-thermostat upgrades, as well as specified lock, door and cabinet customizations. Do not assume a factory-upgraded configuration is returnable. Confirm the exact model’s eligibility before ordering.

Manufacturer warranty and service go directly to Accucold

The ARFG18PV user manual lists a two-year limited warranty for the appliance and a five-year compressor warranty. Extended compressor replacement coverage does not include replacement labor. Monitoring devices and service subscriptions have their own applicable terms; do not assume they share the cabinet’s coverage.

Contact Accucold/FSI directly for warranty coverage questions, claims, service assignment and repair authorization: service@accucold.com or 718-893-3900. Technical questions can be directed to techsupport@accucold.com. Have your model, serial number, proof of purchase, delivery location and a description of the problem ready.

Blue Tiger Scientific does not administer manufacturer warranty claims, authorize warranty repairs or provide warranty service. Do not commission an independent repair or send equipment for service until FSI provides authorization and instructions. Service not assigned or authorized by FSI may not be covered.

Manufacturer coverage depends on proper installation, operation and maintenance. The written warranty includes exclusions for matters such as misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modifications and consequential losses, including product spoilage. Equipment warranty coverage is not a guarantee of stored-material value or reimbursement.

    International destinations and service areas

International customers should request a quote to confirm the equipment configuration, destination eligibility and shipping arrangements. Confirm responsibility for any import duties, taxes and brokerage in the quote. International returns are not permitted under Blue Tiger Scientific’s published return policy.

The model manuals describe warranty coverage within the 48 contiguous United States and selected areas of Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. Contact Accucold/FSI directly before purchase to confirm warranty availability and service arrangements for your exact delivery location. Do not assume worldwide on-site service is included.
