Monochromator Technology – No Filters Required
The monochromator-based optical system of the SmartReader UV-Vis™ allows for accurate selection of wavelengths ranging from 200 nm to 1000 nm, without the need for filters. This versatility makes it suitable for common ELISA, Bradford Lowry, and turbidity assays, as well as more advanced applications like quantification of nucleic acids and proteins. The SmartReader™ UV-Vis can be configured for Endpoint, Kinetic, and Spectral Scanning assays.
High Throughput Capability
The MR9610 is engineered for efficient handling of multiple samples and supports both standard 96-well plates and 384-well plates for high-density screening. Its plate layout interface allows for easy setup of plate wells, saving time by enabling users to highlight and label multiple wells quickly. The display provides a graphical representation of the plate, with options to label each well as “known standard”, “unknown sample”, “blank well”, “QC control well”, “positive control”, “negative control”, or “empty”.
Optimized Results with Plate Shaking and Incubation
Adjustable plate shaking and incubation enhance assay results. The shaking speed can be controlled at various intensities, with options for timed and pulsed shaking before readings or between readings during kinetic assays. The linear motion ensures efficient and uniform mixing of all samples in both 96 and 384 well plates. Temperature control ranges from ambient +5°C to 45°C, accommodating enzyme kinetics and bacterial growth assays.
SmartDrop™ Accessory Plate
For absorbance measurements of exceptionally small volumes (<0.5 μl), the SmartDrop™ Accessory Plate is ideal. It can accommodate up to 16 samples and is perfect for checking nucleic acid concentrations and purity for Next-Gen Sequencing or protein concentrations.
