Pyruvate Kinase (PK) from rabbit muscle is a key glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) to pyruvate, generating ATP in the final step of glycolysis. This highly purified preparation is supplied as a lyophilized powder with an activity of 250 U/mg protein and a total of 10,000 units per vial. It is ideal for use in metabolic pathway analysis, enzymatic assays, and studies of energy metabolism and allosteric regulation.

Rabbit muscle PK is a well-characterized isoform with known structural and kinetic properties, making it a reliable model for biochemical and structural studies. The enzyme is stable at –20°C and should be reconstituted in sterile buffer for optimal performance. All components are prepared using Type I ultrapure water and filtered through 0.22 µm membranes to ensure consistency and reproducibility across batches.
