Heathrow Scientific’s PCR Coolers use a sealed, sonic-welded coolant design instead of ice, and are described as keeping an entire 96-well plate at 0°C for more than one hour. The lid covers samples from freezer to benchtop. It slides out, rotates 180° and serves as a stand. It is detachable and ambidextrous, so it can be switched for left- or right-hand use. A vented lid speeds cooling in the freezer.
