Are the sheets individually wrapped?
No. The supplier specifies 100 sheets in a resealable sterile bag, not separate sterile packets for each sheet.
Does resealing the bag preserve sterility automatically?
No. Resealing does not sterilize the bag or its contents. Use appropriate aseptic handling and validate storage after opening.
What are the material and purity claims?
Steri-Sheets are paraffin/polyolefin film. MTC Bio describes them as flexible, translucent, self-sealing, RNase-free and DNase-free.
How do Steri-Sheets differ from HyperStretch rolls?
Steri-Sheets are sterile, pre-cut sheets in bags of 100. HyperStretch rolls are non-sterile and require cutting to length.
How do these compare with Parafilm M PM996?
Parafilm M PM996 is a 4-inch-wide, 125-foot laboratory film roll. Steri-Sheets are a different format: sterile pre-cut 4 × 4 or 2 × 4 inch sheets in resealable bags. The format and packaging difference is the useful comparison; this is not a claim of identical formulation, sterility validation or performance.
Which containers can I use them with?
The supplier lists Petri dishes, flasks, plates and other containers. Select the size and validate adhesion and closure integrity for your particular vessel and application.
Can sealing film replace every cap or closure?
No. Treat it as a laboratory sealing film or overwrap as appropriate to your protocol. Do not replace required primary closures or assume a gas-tight, pressure-rated or transport-certified barrier.
