HyperStretch is a colorless paraffin/polyolefin film that molds around laboratory vessels and adheres to itself. Choose a 125 ft roll in the width that fits your routine containers.
The latex-free film forms a flexible moisture barrier while allowing water-vapor, oxygen and carbon-dioxide exchange. These rolls are non-sterile; sterile pre-cut Steri-Sheets are a separate product.

What widths and lengths are available?
M0381 is 4 inches wide, M0385 is 2 inches and M0389 is 1.2 inches. Every roll is 125 feet long and is sold as one roll.
Are these rolls sterile?
No. These are non-sterile rolls. HyperStretch Steri-Sheets are the separate sterile, pre-cut format.
What is the film made from?
HyperStretch uses a paraffin/polyolefin formulation and is latex-free. The supplier lists a thickness of 125 µm.
Does the film block all gas exchange?
No. MTC Bio describes a moisture barrier that allows exchange of water vapor, oxygen and carbon dioxide. Do not treat it as a hermetic gas barrier.
What temperature range is published?
The supplier specification table lists −80°C to +58°C. Use that stated range and validate your application; no liquid-nitrogen immersion suitability is claimed here.
How does M0381 compare with Parafilm M PM996?
Both are 4-inch-wide, 125-foot laboratory sealing-film rolls based on wax/paraffin and polyolefin formulations. MTC Bio lists HyperStretch at 125 µm; Amcor’s Parafilm M technical sheet lists 127 µm and describes oxygen and carbon-dioxide permeability. Similar format does not establish identical formulation or performance. Validate chemical compatibility, sealing and storage conditions before substitution.
Can I use it as the only closure for hazardous samples?
Do not assume that an overwrap replaces a required cap, stopper, containment system or validated safety closure. Follow your laboratory procedure and chemical safety requirements.
How much can it stretch?
The supplier page gives both an up-to-350% statement and a 400% maximum elongation value. Because the stated figures differ, no guaranteed extension is specified here; stretch only as appropriate for a secure seal without damaging the film.
