Keep your HI97710 ready for the next sample

Choose HI93710-01 for 100 tests or HI93710-03 for 300 tests. These genuine Hanna reagents replenish pH indicator sample testing with the HI97710 and other explicitly matched photometers. The instrument, cuvettes, caps and CAL Check standards are sold separately.

Hanna prepares this chemistry with high-purity chemicals and marks the reagent packaging with a lot number and expiration date for traceability. Select the test count that fits your sample workload; the pack size does not change the measurement range.

Matched chemistry for a defined photometer method

Phenol red produces a yellow-to-red tint that varies with sample pH. A compatible photometer reads that response in pH units.

The HI97710 method measures 6.5 to 8.5 pH. HI93710 is a phenol red sample indicator for photometric pH measurement. It is not a pH calibration buffer, an electrode storage solution, a CAL Check standard, or the HI779-25 Pool Line reagent. HI97104 and HI971044 are different models: do not substitute this reagent for the HI971044 pH method.

Model-manual verified compatibility: HI83300, HI83303, HI83305, HI83306, HI83308, HI83326, HI83399, HI93102, HI97104, HI97710, HI97725, HI97736, HI97745. Use only the matching instrument method; this is not universal Hanna-meter compatibility.

A straightforward HI97710 sample workflow

For the HI97710 pH method, select pH, fill a clean cuvette with 10 mL of unreacted sample, fit the stopper and cap, and zero the instrument. Remove the cuvette, add five drops of HI93710-0 indicator, replace the stopper and cap, and swirl to mix. Reinsert the cuvette with the cap notch correctly positioned and press Read. The pH procedure does not specify a timed reaction countdown. Use the exact method for any other compatible instrument.

Keep the cuvette exterior clean and dry and avoid bubbles. Review the Safety Data Sheet before use and follow appropriate handling and disposal procedures. Manufacturer reference photographs show illustrative packaging only. Visible printed dates do not describe the supplied stock expiry; check the actual lot and expiration date on receipt.

What is included and what to have ready

Each selected pack supplies liquid phenol red indicator in dropper bottles for the stated 100 or 300 tests. Have a HI97710 photometer, suitable clean glass cuvettes with stoppers and caps, a water sample and the accessories required by the method ready separately. CAL Check standards verify the instrument; they do not replace reagents used to react with actual samples.

Choose your pack

HI93710-01 provides 100 tests for lower-volume replenishment. HI93710-03 provides 300 tests for a larger sample workload using the same chemistry. Consider expected usage and the expiration date on the supplied reagent before selecting a pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between HI93710-01 and HI93710-03?

HI93710-01 supplies reagent for 100 tests; HI93710-03 supplies reagent for 300 tests. Both use the same HI93710-0 chemistry. The larger pack changes test capacity, not the method range.

Which instruments are verified for this reagent?

The model manuals list these reagent packs for HI83300, HI83303, HI83305, HI83306, HI83308, HI83326, HI83399, HI93102, HI97104, HI97710, HI97725, HI97736, HI97745. Select the matching method and follow your exact model manual; compatibility is not claimed for all Hanna meters.

What range and units apply?

The HI97710 method covers 6.5 to 8.5 pH. This is a limited-range photometric pH method, not a full-range electrode measurement. The HI97710 displays pH with 0.1 pH resolution.

How much sample and reagent do I use?

The HI97710 method uses 10 mL of sample and Five drops of HI93710-0 per test. Zero using the unreacted sample first. Check the exact model manual for complete preparation and measurement instructions.

How do I mix and read the sample?

For the HI97710 pH method, select pH, fill a clean cuvette with 10 mL of unreacted sample, fit the stopper and cap, and zero the instrument. Remove the cuvette, add five drops of HI93710-0 indicator, replace the stopper and cap, and swirl to mix. Reinsert the cuvette with the cap notch correctly positioned and press Read. The pH procedure does not specify a timed reaction countdown. Use the exact method for any other compatible instrument.

Is this a pH calibration buffer?

HI93710 is a phenol red sample indicator for photometric pH measurement. It is not a pH calibration buffer, an electrode storage solution, a CAL Check standard, or the HI779-25 Pool Line reagent. HI97104 and HI971044 are different models: do not substitute this reagent for the HI971044 pH method.

What is included, and is the meter supplied?

Only the selected reagent pack is supplied: liquid phenol red indicator in dropper bottles with capacity for 100 or 300 tests. The meter, cuvettes, caps, stoppers, cleaning accessories and CAL Check standards are not included. No meter or calibration standard is supplied.

What should I check before handling or choosing a pack?

Match HI93710-0 to the instrument method, choose a test count appropriate for your workload, and check the actual lot number and expiration date. Review the linked US Safety Data Sheet and use appropriate handling and disposal procedures. Manufacturer photos may show illustrative older packaging dates.
