These scoops combine a sampling surface, weighing support and pouring shape. Assemble the flat blank by drawing its arrow-shaped locking tab through the hole, collect the material, then place the scoop on the balance. The broad tip provides the supporting surface for weighing. Keeping the sample on one tool can reduce the number of transfer steps compared with moving it from a scoop to weighing paper and then to a receiving vessel.
Select width for the task—not an assumed volume
The small and large versions share a 5-inch length. Their widths are 2.5 and 3.5 inches respectively, giving different working surfaces for retrieving and handling the sample. Choose the narrower version when access and balance-pan space dominate; choose the wider version when a broader collection surface is useful. Neither dimension is a calibrated scoop volume or a mass capacity.
Flat storage, formed at the point of use
The anti-static polystyrene construction and coating are intended to reduce sticking and handle powders, gels and semi-solids. The scoops ship and store flat, so a supply can be kept near the balance without storing a stack of permanently formed utensils. They are disposable, not a claimed reusable or sterile sampling tool.
