A bench with several pipettes needs more than somewhere to put the next instrument down. Six separate positions let you arrange a working set by volume range or by the sequence of your procedure. That is a useful bench habit rather than a calibration or contamination-control claim: the stand organizes instruments while your lab procedures govern their use.
