Smarter Features for Effortless Ammonia Testing

Let the HI97700 guide you through your workflow with ease. This photometer offers on-screen tutorials and animated guidance to simplify every phase of the testing process—from setup to calibration and measurement. At any time, you can activate Tutorial Mode using the dedicated help key for instant assistance.

Auto-Off and Battery Monitoring

Extend battery life and avoid false results. The HI97700 features an automatic shut-off to conserve energy if accidentally left on. When battery power drops below 10%, a flashing warning symbol appears. If power gets too low for reliable readings, the device will automatically power down to ensure accurate results aren’t compromised.

Integrated Data Logging

Automatically capture your latest results. This meter stores the last 50 test values internally, making it easy to review trends and validate performance using the Log Recall Menu—no extra setup required.

CAL Check™ Performance Validation

Ensure your ammonia results stay precise over time. Hanna’s exclusive CAL Check™ system allows you to validate instrument performance using certified CAL Check™ standards. Simply insert the standards and follow the guided prompts. Recalibrate when needed to maintain accuracy with confidence.

Advanced Optical System

Enhanced optics for high-performance detection. The HI97700 uses a bright LED light source combined with a narrow band interference filter to produce more accurate and repeatable ammonia measurements—while using less power.

Built Tough for Demanding Conditions

Durability meets precision in every detail. The HI97700 is enclosed in an IP67-rated waterproof body, sealed against dirt, water, and impacts. It even floats, providing peace of mind in fieldwork. Its positive-locking cuvette system ensures consistent alignment for reliable readings.

Portable and Ready for the Field

Compact, clear, and made to travel. With a comfortable handheld design and a clear backlit LCD display, this photometer is easy to use in any lighting condition. Powered by standard AA batteries, it delivers up to 800 tests on a single set.
