Histamine N-Methyl Transferase (HNMT) is a cytosolic enzyme responsible for the methylation of histamine, converting it into N-methylhistamine. This reaction plays a critical role in histamine metabolism, particularly in tissues where diamine oxidase is absent. Supplied as a lyophilized powder, this highly purified preparation offers an activity range of 50–100 U/mg and is ideal for use in pharmacological, neurological, and immunological research.

HNMT is a key target in studies of histamine-related disorders, including migraines, multiple sclerosis, and allergic responses. It is also relevant in drug metabolism and adverse reaction profiling, especially in the context of H2-antihistamines and neuromodulators. This product is stable at –20°C and should be reconstituted in sterile buffer for optimal performance. All solutions are prepared using Type I ultrapure water and filtered through 0.22 µm membranes to ensure consistency and reproducibility across batches.

Key benefits:

  • High-purity HNMT enzyme for histamine metabolism studies
  • Validated activity range (50–100 U/mg)
  • Lyophilized format for long-term stability
  • Supports research in neurology, immunology, and pharmacogenetics
  • Ideal for inhibitor screening and polymorphism analysis

Indication for Use:
This product is for Research Use Only (RUO). It is not intended for human or animal use, diagnostic procedures, or therapeutic applications.
