This diluent can be spiked into the control specimen when testing the interference of Conjugated Bilirubin, Ascorbic Acid, Hemoglobin, Serum Proteins, Triglycerides, Creatinine, Glucose, Glycerol, EDTA, Intralipids, Urea and any other interference substance provided by Molecular Depot, except Free Bilirubin and Uric Acid. Custom bulk orders are available upon request.

Applications: Diluent A is the special diluent used in Interference Test Kit (catalog #K2010001) and Interference Test Kit EXTRA (catalog #K2010008). This diluent should be spiked into the control specimen when testing the interference of Conjugate Bilirubin, Ascorbic Acid, Hemoglobin, Serum Proteins, Triglycerides, Creatinine, Glucose, Glycerol, EDTA, Intralipids, Urea and any other interference substance provided by Molecular Depot (with the exception of free bilirubin, which requires Diluent B).

Diluent A for Interference Testing is a biotechnology-grade reagent specifically formulated to support interference studies across a wide range of endogenous substances. As part of the Interference Test Kit (Catalog #K2010001) and Interference Test Kit EXTRA (Catalog #K2010008), this diluent provides a consistent matrix for spiking control specimens with analytes such as conjugated bilirubin, hemoglobin, serum proteins, triglycerides, creatinine, glucose, glycerol, EDTA, intralipids, urea, and ascorbic acid. Its formulation ensures compatibility with immunoassay platforms and minimizes background interference, enabling researchers to evaluate assay robustness and specificity under clinically relevant conditions.

Used in accordance with CLSI EP07 guidelines, Diluent A is essential for validating assay performance and troubleshooting unexpected signal artifacts. Filtered through 0.22 µm membranes and prepared with ultrapure water, it supports reproducible results in both manual and automated workflows. Supplied in a 25 mL liquid format and stored at –20°C, it maintains long-term stability and integrates seamlessly into diagnostic assay development pipelines. For testing interference from Free Bilirubin, Diluent B (Catalog #K2010001H) should be used instead.
